This is what happens when you overtighten the bolts and overstress it to the point of braking. Thats why you really need to use a torque wrench, especially when going flat out on a track.

I wouldn't wounder if its tuning from the discounter.
Some fat extension plattes between the brake disc and the wheel. Paired with to short or not tightend screws. Sad for this nice Golf.

There are insurances who cover it, since the Nürburgring doesn't count as pure "race track" in german terms. But you would have to ask which insurance will cover that xD

If you see cars on there with UK plates pretty much a guarantee their insurance is invalid on there. You can get specialist cover for the track though.
You'd be surprised the amount of crashes that "occur" within a 5 mile radius of the track. What people dont realise is insurance companies have access to number plate recognition software that tracks cars on the ring, if one goes on and doesn't come off...they know already.
