I recently had a similar issue, it might have to do with your sample rate of your recordings.
No idea how you are doing things and maybe that's not it, but I recently had the exact same issue while recording some guitar and the reason was that my audio interface was set to 44100 Hz sample rate, but OBS (recording software) was recording in 48000.
(Should be the same everywhere 😉)

Your face when BM showed up dancing confirms to me you'll LOVE them - they have choreo for EVERY song from all 4 of their albums (minus one song which has never been played live). You can't go wrong, but Megitsune is a great place to start.

In their honor they made the song Starlight. So for a long time they had three 'avengers' on trial and last year one of them, 'Momo-metal' became the part of the main group.

Monochrome live would be a great first BabyMetal song . High energy , lots of crowd participation , heavy metal/Jpop is BabyMetal in a nutshell . You will love them and I suggest you watch all the live versions to experience how amazing their shows are . Electric Callboy opened for BabyMetal last year on the US leg of the tour .

This is an interesting statement, because the only relationship we've seen between Babymetal and Electric Callboy before this collab was that Babymetal was spotted watching the Electric Callboy from the side of the stage in Boston.

I started to watch EC as soon as I saw this collab announced, it is brilliant, fun watching along with you!
Others mention this as well, "Babymetal - Road of Resistance Live in Japan (Official)" from their channel is the song that hooked me, jaw dropping excellence. I haven't stopped looking for more new BM since that popped up on my feed years ago. That said, nearly any live performance you choose will be amazing, they are so great, consistent, phenomenal, and have been for over ten years. Look forward to more!
Babymetal introduced me to a whole other world, which is the rock/metal/pop/jazz/fusion talent in Asia.....especially the female led acts. I pledge my undying allegiance to this new realm of amazement!! Just in the last year, I saw Babymetal, Band-Maid, Hanabie, The Hu, and Otoboke Beaver in concert. All were excellent!! This September is LOVEBITES in Atlanta!!

Babymetal is a gateway drug into some very interesting all female Japanese rock/metal bands. The "Big Three" are generally considered Band-Maid, Lovebites, and Nemophila. I personally prefer Hanabie over Lovebites, but Lovebites is incredibly talented.

Babymetal suggestion - DON"T do Gimme Chocolate as the first reaction. It is 10 years old and while it is great it is one of their most "gimmicky" songs. Start with Megitsune or Headbanger.
I see it completely differently. For a pop singer, “gimmi chocolate” is the perfect start. Megitsune would also be ok, though. But whatever the first reaction is, please live!!!

@@jimnusbaum3589 Be bit careful here. Yes, live is best for Babymetal, in particular live in a huge Japanese venue. But please - Megitsune is the only song they have made where you have to see the music video.
Moreover, Jami said she loved the combo of pop and metal. So, why not Headbanger? It is one of the best they have done. But, I think Megitsune is a good start. And then the music movie. Another good one is YAVA. Or why not Papaya.
For Headbanger I'd always recommend the Moametal live performance variant. Ofc slightly different not having Su sing the entire thing, but the crowd hype in that video is insanely infectious :D

Been a BabyMetal fan for going on a decade now and I'd 100% recommend monochrome (Live version from PIA arena). Its a true mix of pop and metal. theres also another collab music video with F-Hero and bodyslam w/ babymetal called 'Leave it all behind' which is fucking amazing
I flew to Japan for the Legend MM concerts in March.. Phenomenal... I do suggest you check out their newer performances before diving deep into their history...
Whatever Babymetal you watch, make sure it's live, their MVs are good, their live performances are incredible. Megitsune, Headbanger at Legend 1997, Ijime Dame Zettai, Monochrome, Light and Darkness....
Megitsune is best as music movie, the rest is best live. The music movie of Megitsune is a thing of art.
The only official Music Video I like better than a live video is "Karate". "Road of Resistance Live in Japan " is their magnum opus and the best concert footage known to man. imho

Monochrome live at PIA 2023, Akatsuki Budakan Black Night 2014, Road of Resistance live in Japan 2015. There really are so many great BM songs and live shows, they are a true performance act and if possible watch live, any of these and you'll see what I mean. They started at the age of 11 and 12 and Played there fist arena show the night after Su-metal's 16th birthday to 8000. BM have superpowers so be careful. 🤘🤘🤘🦊🦊🦊

They're all over 20 now, but in some of their older songs they're 16 and under, yeah! By this point they've been playing live shows for over a decade.

Thanks again from Japan 有難う💛。I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. EC boys can join BM concerts and BM girls can show up in EC's worldwide 😍
Is it just a coincidence that the two bands are to perform on the same days in the same places in several European festivals in June ?

The first 3 are from early in their career and the last song can show you just how great of a voice Su has.....these should get your journey into the fox hole started. I got to see them twice in concert last year and it was fantastic...out of the numerous concerts that I have been too, the Babymetal concert was by far the best of them all, and I plan on seeing them again when they come back around.

If you got like an hour to spare, you should watch the "Electric Callboy reacts to people reacting to Ratatata" video. Very interesting to hear them talk about the video shoot and collab in general... EC mention that they normally just take a more "wing it" approach and that they were pretty much intimidated at times because the BM Girls were so much more professional at the video shoot. Really entertaining video

If you're coming at it from the pop side of things, then something from BABYMETAL like Pa Pa Ya, Megitsune, Karate, Doki Doki Morning, Gimme Chocolate, or Monochrome. For more on the metal side of BABYMETAL, maybe Headbanger, Road of Resistance, BxMxC, or Ijime Dame Zettai. I always recommend newer live versions so you can see the choreography and see them in their current state, but some of the old music videos are pretty good too, though they are very young in the earliest vid (literally about 11 or12 years old). Just from your reaction to them, I think you will love them.
