I found once you sand the clear, you should hit it with a CAP adhesion promoter so the tapes dont stick so hard to the surface. Working surface is much better as well.

So no layering lines were left after peeling off the masking? No sanding done before clearing? Were the blue pearl coats so thin the clear just went on uniform and smooth? The both look amazing! Brilliant! Thanks for your time! Beautiful job on both videos!

The helmets were nice but when you covered them in the dark colors you lost me. I guess it different tastes we have. It just gobbled up all the nice chrome and candy. Great video. Our Aussie friends are awsome.

I used spray can and am being careful...but I constantly get runs...this guy was spraying painting like nuts and it didn't look like he had any runs at all

have you tried adding black candy paint layers to the chrome layer?
will it be a dark chrome finish like the kawasaki H2 paint job ?
Was there any issues taking the tape off after all the time it was on there with multiple layers of paints? Did you take the tape off to remark at all while painting the helms?

Ugh, the anodized look of the bike helmet was looking great but the decal work really let it down with maximum tackiness. Still, thanks for showing what the candies can do with the chrome. There's lot of potential.

Love work where can I find the chrome paint from and the gold candy from
was the black... just regular old black gloss spray paint basically or did the 2k gloss black have in anyway something to do with chemical process. Im just not sure whats going on and Ive seen a couple different chrome spray on kits and didnt know what was going on with this kit. Most kits mention/require the black base coat and I wasnt sure if it was propriety blend black coat.

Indeed. Paint can easily weaken a helmet, and the damage might not be visible. Is this paint rated safe for painting helmets?

after the black drys do you scuff up the paint or just paint the chrome on and the before you clear or top coat the chrome do you scuff or not?

how thick does the Alsa Easy Chrome dry? I have some ideas but not wanting a super thick layer.
If I make chrome on wheel after base paint(black) then do I need to go for clear coat?
What do you think of adding glass microbeads to clear, to make helmets and/or motorcycles retro-reflective to light, like street signs?

I tried it and the coverage is uneven so the reflection is cloudy no matter what you do. It needs to be screen printed to get the typical even reflection.
would this chrome paint work as a basecoat for the Crystal FX effect?
Why do I get raised edges when removing masking tape or decals? I´ve tried a lot of masking tapes, decals, masking with light pressure (got underrun), using 3m precision masking tape, removing when paint is "tacky" when is fully dry... No luck. Where am I failing?
Diego AG it's normal to get an edge. Just clear it. And sand once dry. Then clear again.

If I picked up a can of paint that cost several thousand dollars, my hands would be shaking.
I would spill it same as my last LT of undercoat today.
I don't think I'd put that much time into a helmet, with my luck I'd fall and fuck it up the next day
Should have left the base black 2k and bought stickers. Way cheaper and way less time wasting. Stupid AF

To much pearl in the bike helmet made it look brown im shocking for that wasted alot of paint lol
