Custom painting metal flake with gorga batak ornament

One of most interesting custom paint, this time i try to spray my project classic motorcycle tank with metal flake fx. With silver base coat and red candy colors for top coat and for finishing i use 2k hs clear coat. For the graphic i try to make gorga graphics with hand painted technique.
Fyi : gorga is some graphic ornament for batakness (Batak is one of the tribe in Indonesia)

my wife is from bali and ive been there many times. The people there are very talented with crafts like this. I watched them hand carve awnings at the hotel i stayed at with no power tools. A new level of respect for work of that level
Anybody else love the paint but thinks he should of went way more slower and steady with the pinstripe
Totaly agree with you, he handles the knive very well so it shouldnt be a big problem for him. How ever i think pinstriping needs a little wobble here and there.
Symmetry is way off... I would not want this tank on my bike.

That pinstriping was brutal.. You really need a steady hand to do clean work and this was hard to watch.
no, not really. it´s art, he does it as he wants it. Otherwise one could make a "correct" waterslide print on a computer, and clearcoat it. But that´s not the point i.m.o.

Awesome work ! i see people are complaining about the white lines, but this is your style, its FANTASTIC!!!! i would want my bike done this way, it's totally custom and individual... you can't please everyone...many thanks for sharing

Bro, I know people are saying your lines are "wonky" or "not straight" but I honestly thought it looked absolutely amazing with them being all curved and off-center. Gave it some good vibes. 10/10, keep up the amazing work!

Nah, that’s what makes it unique. The small imperfection make it known that it’s hand drawn with personal touch.
That is completely hand done how do you expect perfection it isn’t taped out!! He’s doing the striping free hand and he did a bad ass job for as much as he did.!

The workmanship and artistry is world class, looking perfect here, but as I see more of the finish,
I can only wish he had used some Haida motifs, perfect for the red background and off-white high-lights.
Haida are the northern natives of British Columbia, my favorite ancient to living Canadian artists.

How do you not cut all the way into the paint?
Super sharp NEW blade then you don't have to push so hard...or use fineline if it's not to complicated of shapes
You should have covered the petrol tank's hole. I think paint has gone inside the petrol tank.

some one will have lots of Carb problems, with all the over spray in the tank.

Wonky and not straight yes but it's not machinemade, it's made by hand and because of that a bit wonky and not straight can actually be a good thing. Keep up the good work

Johan Hägerström Yes, and also he could take my constructive criticism and apply it to become a better artist, or not. If everyone just tells you "its great" and doesn't offer suggestions to improve, how can he improve? If the lines are wonky, they are wonky. I'm not saying he is a bad artist or anything. I actually said I like it. So maybe think about that before you start caping for someone that doesn't need it.
blah take your constructive criticism and become better? How do you know that he didn't purposely wanted the lines exactly as they are. By looking at his other videos I'm pretty sure this guy know what he is doing. Maybe if he wanted to have exact lines he would have masked it up and just painted it. Now he handdraw those lines. Drawing lines like this and pinstriping is atleast for me a big difference. Well this is a free world and you are definitely free to think what you do, but always remember that someone out there then might have another angle to it. Have a nice easter 👍
