  • Just like a football team has a quarterback and a baseball team has a pitcher, there are different positions that make up a sled dog team.
    There are lead dogs, point dogs, team dogs and wheel dogs. WDIO spoke with local Beargrease mushers, Colleen Wallin and her son Ero Wallin to explain the responsibilities of each positions.

    I love how everyone cares about the dogs. Dog sledding seems so pure. I also watched this video because I’ve been interested in drawing sled dogs, thanks for the video!

    As far as physical build goes, you want the strongest dogs that are often slower at the rear pulling the brunt of the load, with faster and perceptive dogs in the front.
    The way these are arranged personality wise is pretty smart
