    Great video, I recommend using "Super Lube" synthetic grease. It works great and doesn't dissolve in water.

    You made reattaching the lower unit look like a breeze! Now for me, there's at least 8 trys and 9 cuss words before I get it locked in! 😂😂 Thank you for making the videos! I love watching them on CZcams and when the instruction is sound, as in your presentation, I can get 'er done! 😃👍

    What is going to happen to all the generous quantity of vaseline during operation? Isn't it going to clog the waterways inside the engine?

      I put mine in forward and leave it there. When i put it back together I simply turned the coupling nut down till it touches the jam nut. Tighten up and your done.

    Hey man good video. Go grab a tube of Silicone Grease (Plumbers Grease) instead of petrolium. The petroleum based greases break down seals an o rings, whereas the silicone based grease doesn't. Cheers

  • @jaredpartridge1215
    @jaredpartridge1215 Před 5 lety +1

    great video, FYI when you grease the impeller it's better to use a silicon-based grease/spray lube if the rubber is a natural rubber. If it is synthetic rubber then petroleum based grease like vaseline is fine.

    Nice video but I have a quick question, Does it matter if it’s in. Forward neutral or reverse? It was hard to see what gear you had it in. It looked like reverse?

    • @foothillstrailhiker2426
      @foothillstrailhiker2426  Před 6 lety

      Forward or reverse will work. The only purpose for having it in gear is to turn the prop and line up the spines when you reassemble.
