Strange Nights on Grave Mood Rings

- Mixing vampire humor and 1970s tropes (like pet rocks, lava lamps, disco music, bell-bottom pants, mirror balls, and of course mood rings), the web series Grave Mood Rings pokes fast fun at classic slow-moving Gothic soap operas like Dark Shadows and the Canadian series Strange Paradise. In addition to a vampiric Viscount, a castle is home to a groovy Doctor (a phlebotomist, naturally), a jolly housekeeper with her own laugh track, a werewolf Vicar, and an arch-nemesis riddler wearing a Sphinx mask. Corny wordplay, the occasional bizarre sing-a-long, and haunted doughnuts punctuate the proceedings, in the tradition of the sketch comedy of MadTV, Kids in the Hall, and SCTV.

This triggered my PTSD. You see, in junior hight school, student dances were held on Thursday evenings, so as not to interfere with "the weekend." (Tangentially, such dances were billed as "7th Grade Stomps" which, in retrospect, is exactly what they did to one's self esteem.) Anyway, as it turns out, after once such shindig I found that my nickname had suddenly become "Dinosaur Hustle," after a particularly clumsy group dance.
If there were a sad dinosaur emoji, I'd insert it here re: school-related PTSD.

I've never heard of people confusing Tuesday for Wednesday, though Wednesday can be confused for Friday. Which makes sense since their namesake were spouses. And I don't think she's getting mental health days, more likely she's getting demented days. This is a horror show, after all.
