You can already let it make graphs for you indirectly, since it can provide you with code. For example, you could ask it for python code to plot the revenue per year or something, and then you could put that generated code into a code interpreter like jupyter notebook

I'm very excited about this new tool and what leads after it. I don't think many jobs are at risk because, as you mentioned, many people aren't knowledgeable in accounting and it still requires human interaction and changes. However, accounting can look different... Assuming accounting is completely taken over in our lifetime in a mass quantity, I'm luckily handy and I'll be first in line doing electrical and plumbing lol.

Considering most of the work I do is template oriented, one would imagine, even in its current state, that it could learn and decipher, pulling out relevant audit risk info of say meeting minutes of a board and explaining why your accounts don’t reconcile.

You can train your model in order to fit your business but this is at the moment very expansive. Also try to use different prompt engineering like " act as an expert in producing..."

The program makes silly mistakes, a simple compound interest calculation can be messed up by ChatGPT and if you don't pay attention, you can be unpleasantly surprised. Also, some of the "wisdom" and the related links are fake, untrue and just made up. I am not saying the program is bad, it's doing what it was designed to do, but you have to be very careful about the answers you get out of this platform.
Lucky for us. If the answers were absolutely correct and useful for the users of the FS, we would be in big trouble. :)
