That was really helpful, thanks! im glad someone did an updated version. But i have one question tho can you do reactions that give you access to channels? Sorry if that is a bit bad explained, my english is kinda okay only, but we are working on a server right now and we were planing on doing that kinda thing! we want our members to choose what channel they wanna see, does that work on this bot?

hi! the bot tells me "Reaction Roles Setup Failed
You have already created a reaction role with these exact details, you do not need another! (But I have added a new reaction anyway)" what did i do wrong? i did exactly what you did and it works but like idk why it tells me that? also is there a way to make it so people dont get a dm from the bot when they pick a role

how do i make it so that members can't get more then 1 role until they reach an certain level.
I think you can do something like that with premium. (Option 4). But I’m not totally sure. You might have get a different bot to make different levels so they can react only to certain roles in certain channels.

if I remove custom emoji I used in reaction roles will I have issue? I'll be using some temporarily and remove them from my server since I only have 50 free emojis.
You will probably have a problem if you delete the custom emoji from your server. But you can simply just delete the message and start over if you want a different emoji. You can also keep the original message and add as many emoji to it as you want too
Ok Thx but how do we give a limit Cuz People in my server Took All Roles so I need to give a limit
You might be able to set a limit with the premium version, check out their info and help section for more help, I’ll take a look at it and see if there is a way to limit it using the bot but another way you could limit which and how many users react is by enabling certain roles to be able to react to messages and having other roles not able to react to the message. If this helps idek, but I’ll definitely get back to you if I find out any more information that helps
Hey! I set the tick emoticon, but i got this message: "The emoji you provided could not be validated or is not from this server. Please choose an emoji from this server or one default emoji." why?
Because reaction roles does not work with external stickers nor anything dealing with nitro
i have a question when i go to the profile of the reaction bot it says "add to server" even though it is in my server and it doesnt create the reaction role and ive tried to readd it but it hasnt worked what do i do
You might have to great it full permissions. Make sure the bot can access all channels and resources on your server
Quick question, does it have to be a separate message for each role or can a message have multiple roles linked to it?
Yes you can link multiple roles to the same message
You can even use the same emoji for the multiple roles too I imagine if you really wanted to

I don’t believe that this bot can do that maybe with the premium version but I doubt it
You can just click on their profile and click "mange user" then give them the role manually , I don't think a bit can do that
when i clicked on the reaction i made it didn't show up on my role, idk what i did wrong
Just reload discord and make sure your wifi is working well. Sometimes it’s just a glitch but if it isn’t just do the whole process again and make sure to use option “1” to get reaction roles
I just downloaded the app because of the guild I’m in and I just don’t get it, the leader said : “there’s a bunch of other you can get by reacting or completing a specific mission”, and “make sure to tag me if you claim one, so I don’t need to check the reactions”, I don’t know what that means 🥲🥲🥲

Ok so I did everything in this video but when I click on the reaction role that I want to add for myself as a test, nothing happens? And Reaction Roles is online and has permissions. What am I missing?
Did you vote for the bot? You don’t have to vote for the bot every time for it to work just sometimes

Do you have developer mode on in your account settings? If you already do, try to make sure you kick reaction roles bot off your server and then Re invite the bot back. Make sure you press type 1 as well

As far as I know it can probably do that with option 2,3, or 4 but I’m not entirely sure
it says i have to vote to use more than 3 reaction roles?? im so confused
click on the link and then it should direct you to the website where you invited the bot from. Then wait until you can click the Button, (make sure you are signed into the website through your discord account), then once you can click the button, click it and you should be able to have full access to bot's services.
When I click on the role I want, ReactionRoles DMS me "Role is too high for me to manage" I dont understand.
You have to make sure that the bot not only has full permissions, but to make sure that that role that give the bot permissions is above all the roles you want to use for reactions in the role list.

Is there a way to make sure the bot doesn't message a discord user after the user reacted to a role?
Probably only through getting the script and deleting the scripted code about messaging the user through a bot you create you could also mess around with option 2&3 to see if they do anything relating to a user being DM’d. But the EASIEST WAY is for the user to block the bot so that they don’t get messages.

Depends on your device type. Some devices show certain emoji and some don’t.
how do i remove a reaction?
You unreact from the button to take away the role you gave yourself, (this only works if you used option 1 when creating the role), or if you are ADMIN, you can simply delete the message that has the reaction role.

Did you do every step, including using slash commands instead, and giving the bot all permissions? Especially over roles?

So sorry that I never got back to you till now. *USE 1* 2 is used for “sticky” roles, and I don’t know what three is because it is a premium thing
how do i block this reaction roles bot to send direct messages to users ?
As far as I know you would have to block the bot like you would a user or you could find the bot’s source code and delete the send message to user option and make your own custom bot. But the blocking the bot option probably should work the best.

When I get a dm from the bot it says 🔼 and something about a rank being higher?
Yes you have to make sure that the role for the bot has full permissions and is also higher on the rank list of the roles you want the bot to assign to users.

@@rapidmania1426 try reloading discord, and if you have to, kick the bot and re-invite it back to your server. Then make sure that the bot has full permissions and is at the top of the your roles list, the bot’s role cannot be at the bottom of the roles list. If you keep having problems let me know and I’ll make a video about how to do it, including the roles part.

It should be at the bottom of the options to choose from when you long press on the message. If it doesn’t work restart your phone, uninstall discord and reinstall it.

Kick the bot and re-invite it, if it still doesn't work, make sure that you have a verified discord account with an email and then log out and log back into your account.
what are all the types? i mean its meaning
1 is the one I made this video about, 2 and 3 are similar and the roles "stick" to the users unless admin removes the role from those users. #4 I'm not sure about at all because its premium and I'm a broke college student lolol.

@@GrantAce it's saying that I need to vote on something before I can create more roles and when I go to click on the link it says that a time out error has occurred. The website is basically broken so you are only limited to 3 reaction roles
