Today I look at the first appearance of MODOK Source Material: Tales of Suspense Vol 1 Issue #93-94 Music by Shroud courtesy of Alex Mizell / alexmizell
Man you’ve always made the best videos of 60s and 70s era comics from marvel. I don’t blame you that you’ve switched gears from the new WOKE marvel you’re a little too honest and upfront for all the bitter unhappy people at work there now. They probably find someway to cancel your channel but I’m still going to rewatch the old ones over and over again man great job.
Appreciate the love. At some point I'll be back to discuss Quasar but I need a break from Marvel. And the Spawn vidoes weren't popping hard. So, time to work on some other projects for a bit. Got some local history that needs some research and a critical eye.
Lee & Kirby: the team supreme! By the way, I have had a soft spot for Modok ever since I read the Captain America issue from the 1980s where he was brutally murdered by the Serpent Society; I felt bad for the poor guy. Luckily, he bounced back: lately, he got a buff, handsome body and started calling himself "Brodok," which was silly as hell.
Good stuff! Yeah, I dont dig the silly villian vibe that goes around. Once that has been done to a villain it is hard to get the back to being badass and serious. Maelstrom is another villian that had this fate befall him.
Don't get used to it. Cold, wet weather has had me inside. I've had a chance to wrap up and/or the timing has been good to release various vids that were close to being done. Good news, I'm way ahead on my writing right now.
why aren't marvel movies and tv shows just *EXACTLY* the same as the comics.. it's crazy, all the work is already been done and still they only put out garbage with the same names.. maybe the costumes have similar colors.. it's insane..
@Caitlyn Carvalho I 100% think MODOK was made to be absurd. Back in the day I viewed him as a more extreme villain (head of AIM!) that demanded respect. Hence, his awkward look (which he is aware of) was contrasted with his superior intellect and power of position. These days MODOK is nothing more than jokey heel in Marvel. That's probably one reason why they cast a comedian to play him.
Boy you are the professor of comic knowledge!!! Im introducing all my homme boys to your knowledge. Don't you stop my man!
Thanks for the love Charles!
Dude... I love your opening music and story-telling. Indeed, bring on the cold!
Link to the soundcloud account below the fold. Thanks for the kind words!
Thanks so much! Keep it going!

Love M.O.D.O.K, He was great in the early 70's in the Hulk turning Betty into the Harpy. (or was it mid 70's?)
From 73!
Thanks! Good to know.
Heh, had a list of all of MODOK's appearances in front of me when I saw the comment. 👍
Who would win in a Battle Royale of Modok v Hawkeye v Longshot v Magneto?
