*Be careful with the USB-A end of this flash drive because it is made of a very flimsy sheet of plastic. It is too soft for a USB-A port. Mine cracked and SanDisk said that it was because of mishandling by me but I know it is because of poor design decisions. If you want to buy one of these dual drives, buy one that is made of metal not plastic.*

Pendrive can be made bootable installations and also be used like a normal drives for daily usage.
We format the drives as Windows 10 bootable installation media and are using the same drive to transfer Videos for our daily editing with no problem.
From the speeds I'm seeing here I'd be inclined to say that your SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe might be counterfeit. I've just bought 6 Ultra Dual Drive Luxe drives, 4 128GB drives and 2 512GB drives. Three of the drives I received from BestBuy in the U.S, and the other three from B&H photo out of New York. Both companies are considered to be reputable, but two of the of the 128GB Drives,and one 512GB drive read at about 140mb/s and write at about 50mb/s, while the others read at over 350mb/s and write at over 150mb/s. The slow drives also slow down after about 200mb to about 12mb/s . When I used the 'Chip Genius' utility to check the drive details, the serial numbers in the slow drives are very long strings of random numbers and letters, and the version numbers show '0100' rather than '1.0' on the fast drives. SanDisk said that is a likely indication of counterfeit drives. I also can't open many files the apparently counterfeit 512gb drive as they appear to be counterfeit.
Also strange, is that SanDisk said that all those drives should have come formatted ExFat, but all (both the fast and slow drives) came formatted Fat32 YES, THE 512GB DRIVES CAME FORMATTED FAT32!, and when I reformatted one of the fast 128GB drives to ExFat, the write speeds dropped from over 150mb/s to about 30mb/s so I question if they are all counterfeit as they were all on sale for about 1/2 the normal price?
Sometimes it all depends on the file format used.
Try formatting in NTFS. Hope you will see the increase in performance.
This we tested with multiple SanDisk Drives.
This is a meaningless comparison as you check the Luxe in a SDDDC4 version and the Go in a an older SDDDC3 version. you need both to be SDDDC4 in order the comparison would show real difference in speed

Its not always the hardware that is used. Sometimes people buy products by look of it. I was about to order go version without knowing that it’s plastic and thought it’s not that different than luxe. After looking into this video I’m ordering luxe version. So it’s a good comparison

1. Just because plastic does not get heated that not necessarily mean they dont product heat. Its just that plastic drives dont dissipate heat, so they run cool outside.
2. Metallic flash drives are better at heat dissipation so they run hotter. In the long run metallic drive will server you better as they have longer life.
Would suggest you to get the SanDisk Ultra Dual Drive Luxe as the price is almost negligible compared to other drives and also the speed is great.

I'm using Dual Drive luxe, while plugging and unplugging the type c tip, the type c tip moves a little forward and when I push it with my hand, it snaps into place, is that a problem?

So I've had the ultra go one for a while now and a couple of days ago I was transferring some data from my tablet to it when the device suddenly stopped recognising it I tried it on 4 other devices 2 laptops and 2 phones and still nothing on my laptop tho it gives me a message saying device not recognised and I tried multiple hacks like uninstalling the drive and installing the latest updates and so on but nothing works so far I got a new flash drive but is this one completely lost or can I do something?

You need to download RUFUS to make it bootable
Download Rufus and the iso file of the operating system.
Then you can make a bootable pendrive. In mbr mode or uefi mode as per your requirement.
Which one does not heat up so much? I'll be using it mostly on my phone. I don't want to burn my hands..

That's definitely a bad idea. Your pen drive can corrupt the data anytime, if let's say there is too much of heat and damage the circuit. It's not even impact or water resistant.

If by chance you forgot the metal version in your trouser and it went in washing machine. Thats the end of it. The dents will destroy it completely. On the other hand plastic one is really of poor quality and is not durable at all.
