- Oaktree Capital Management co-Chairman and co-Founder Howard Marks talks how he expects interest rates to stay relatively high for the foreseeable future, why he wants the Federal Reserve get to a more neutral position and the true value of credit instruments. This episode of "Bloomberg Wealth with David Rubenstein" was recorded September 5th in New York.
The problem we have is because Most people always taught that " you only need a good job to become rich " . These billionaires are operating on a whole other playbook that many don't even know exists.
Money invested is far better than money saved , when you invest it gives you the opportunity to increase your financial worth.
" It is remarkable how much long term advantage people like us have gotten by trying to be consistently not stupid , instead of trying to be very intelligent."
The wisest thing that should be on everyone mind currently should be to invest in different streams of income that doesn't depend on government paycheck, especially with the current economic crisis around the world. This is still a time to invest in Stocks, Forex and Digital currencies.
I also keep seeing lot's of people testifying about how they make money investing in Stock, Forex and Crypto Trade(Bitcoin) and I wonder why I keep loosing. Can anyone help me out or at least advice me on what to do.
Even with the right technique and assets some investors would still make more than others. As an investor, you should've known that by now that nothing beats experience and that's final. Personally I had to reach out to a stock expert for guidance which is how I was able to grow my account close to $35k, withdraw my profit right before the correction and now I'm buying again.
At 42, I've come to realize that money is a tool. I’ve worked so hard over the years to realize that if you don’t make money work for you, you can’t experience true freedom. I’m glad I found that out although it was later in life, but that marked the turning point in my finances.
Well, I've gotten into a plethora of assets with $73k spread across stocks (options and futures) for the short term and Roth IRA, index funds, and ETFs, for the long term. I've been investing with help from a pro fund manager, Herman W Jonas who oversees my investments. Now I sit back and reap my dividends while I just reinvest from time to time.

In my taxable account I went into dividend investing route. In my Roth I did the buy and hold route with an S&P 500 etf and total market etf along with some Berkshire B stock and SCHD.
My portfolio is made up of dividend etf’s, dividend stocks, growth stocks, it allows a bit more freedom in specific areas

These are very valuable rules for anybody who wants to get rich. Unfortunately, most people who will watch this video will not really be able to apply the principles. We may not want to admit, but as Warren Buffett once said, investing is like any other profession-- it requires a certain level of expertise. No surprise that some people are losing a lot of money in the bear market, while others are making hundreds of thousands in profit. I just don't know how they do it. I have about $89k now to put in the market.
Stocks are pretty unstable at the moment, but if you do the right math, you should be just fine. Bloomberg and other finance media have been recording cases of folks gaining over 250k just in a matter of weeks/couple months, so I think there are alot of wealth transfer in this downtime if you know where to look.

Although we previously perceived it as a crisis, we now acknowledge it as the new normal and must adapt accordingly. Very true, a huge part of my portfolio growth has come during this bear market. I've been able to scale from $180K to $372K in a short period of time. I basically was just following the steps and guideline from my financial advisor. as long as you've professional help, you're good to go

It’s unfortunate most people don’t have such information, I don’t really blame people who panic cos lack of information can be a big hurdle. If you are properly prepared and knowledgeable, every crash/collapse/inflation or recession gives an equal market opportunity. I've seen folks amass up to $800,000 throughout crises and even do it with ease in a terrible economy. Without a doubt, someone has become enormously wealthy as a result of the crash.
I agree that there are strategies that could be put in place for solid gains regardless of economy or market condition, but such executions are usually carried out by investment experts or advisors with experience

Because bond guys like Howard and Geof Gundlach have nothing to benefit from shilling stocks they offer a very experienced and relatively unbiased view on markets. So I often watch them even though I don't do bonds.

I would argue more people dont stake ACF300X because you can do more with ACF300X , and staking is harder to do so users do nothing or use liquid staking

Sure credit is generally safer but if you're buying at par and it works out, it means the equity has worked out much better.
That is not necessarily the case. In the credit investing space, as long as the company is in a solid cash flow position, you should do well. For equities, it's mostly about analyst (or investor) expectations. If the company delivers good financial results but falls below expectations, that can lead to poor equity performance.
@@ntuthukonxumalo3161 It's true that if you overpay for equities you can lose anyway - there's no cure for that. Assuming purchase at a 'normal' valuation, the equity should work out better as it got use of the debt capital to generate excess cash flows.
