so as i understand it, for a single point of damage from a single source you can use arcane barrier 1, but you couldn't over pay with an item that uses arcane barrier 2 to over block a single point of arcane? as well, are there any instances where you are unable to block the damage because you dont have the right number of arcane damager? example, attack coming in for 7, you have 3 pieces that are arcane barrier 1, and one piece that is arcane barrier 3, then you could pitch 6 to block 6. Someone in our play group it trying to convince people that you can activate all arcane barrier 1 equipment with a single resource. is that the case?
You can use a barrier 3 card to block a runechant for example, but the next time you take arcane damage you take the full damage unless you pay 3 again so it is very inefficient for blocking small damage. each use of arcane barrier costs what is printed on the cards, if I have 3 null rune equipment that each have barrier 1 then I would need to pay 3 (one for each) to block a source of 3 arcane damage
I was using a Runeblade hero and attacked with 3 rune token and my opponent paid with 3 resources even tho he only got 1 arcane barrier. Was that legit?
Edit: I read the question wrong. Each rune chant is a separate source of damage so you only need 1 arcane barrier to defend against it with a resource point for each instance of damage. They resolve one at a time
@@citizenfry2945 You are correct, I read the question incorrectly. Each rune chant is a separate source of damage so you only need 1 arcane barrier to defend against it with a resource point for each instance of damage.
I have been waiting for this video and explanation for so long. Thank you so much for taking the time to make this.
You're very welcome!

@@gamerslair1802 but wouldn't each runechant token be a different source?
