- This compact tractor is no MEGA MACHINE but it can sure get the job done. It has been crazy for the last couples of weeks around here and we have spent more time plowing snow in the month of April than we did all season long. Truly fun and beautiful!!!

Great job! Keep it up!
Thanks for watching and the encouragement @motorzeit!
I bought the same tractor based on your videos last year. JD should give you a commission. Wish I had the plow
Hey +Re Silc, thanks for watching and the comment! How are you enjoying your John Deere 3038E? Just enjoying all the projects we are getting done and savings some $ instead of hiring someone else to do it has been a huge payoff although receiving a commission from JD wouldn't be a bad idea! As for the plow, that has been a life saver. Thankful that our dealership had this set up for the tractor when we purchased it. Are you using your bucket to move snow around or something else?
Any issues with the emission junk yet? I'm considering buying, but worried about breaking that 30hp threshold for that reason. I know the expense on a semi truck, and it worries me. Also, I think a snow pusher would be a great attachment with a blower on back for me.
Thanks for watching and the comment +ironheadbiker! No problems with the emission junk yet. However when the tractor goes through its automatic regen process it is a little inconvenient as there is a reduction in power.
I also considered a snow blower to put on the back to help with removing snow but the blade mounted on the front has been a great addition and so far it has done everything we needed it to.
where did you get attachment for your snow plow?
we have john deere 6130D, I am looking for attachment for my snow plow
thanks
Thanks for watching and the question @Wu Wade! When we purchased our JD 3038e from the dealership, they had the snow plow already set up to be used with our particular unit.
Curious what size blade do you have on her?
Thanks for watching and the question! We currently have a 7' Curtis blade on the tractor.
I just got a 2025, I want to do the same thing, but i think a 7ft plow would be a little much, maybe 6.5. Do you have a video on how you made the bracket to connect the plow to the tractor?
Thanks for watching and the comment +Woody83! The snow blade on the front has been an excellent addition to our tractor. Even on our 3038e a 7' blade is about maxed out so you are probably wise to look for something a little lighter/smaller. I hope to get a video in the coming weeks showing how the plow is connected to the tractor.
@@OurBigHouseintheLittleWoods thanks, look forward to the video.
is it the bucket tilt hydraulic lines that angle the plow?
Thanks for watching and the question @Than Oliver! We have a rear hydraulic installed on our John Deere 3038E that allows us to control the angle of the plow blade. Here is a link to a couple of our videos that describes how we use our rear hydraulic:

How heavy is your weight box and it's contents? Thanks
Thanks for watching and the question @Duck SP! From what I remember, the weight of the ballast box and the ballast inside (metal blanks from a local place) ends up being about an additional 1200lbs on the back end.
@@OurBigHouseintheLittleWoods looked like you were getting good traction. Just had my tires filled with about 600lbs. of fluid. Made a big difference for traction and lifting. But I'm thinking another 600 to 800 lbs of weight on the back is going to get me where I want to be. Thanks for the video. Nice to see other people's setups.
@@ducksp6405 Nothing in our tires yet but something we have considered.
