I am not sure, did he say 4-1?
Yes, 4 parts water to 1 part SuperClean.
I wasn't sure either. If he said 4-1 ? Or four to one ?
👀 WANNA SAY HE SAID 4-1 🤔🤔🤔🤔 .... LET ME DOUBLE CHECK JUST 2 MAKE SURE IT'S 4-1 N NOT FOR- JUAN 😐😐😐😐
😂
@Gabriela Penafiel 4 parts water to 1 part Super Clean
Your enthusiasm is great. You are very generous to share your special expertise. Your product knowledge is invaluable. You are building respect for your trade with your videos. I would trust my vehicles in your hands anytime.
The pump bottle tip is great for us guys who want to do a quick rim/tire clean without unraveling that unwieldy garden hose. My E38 thanks you as well Sir.
wow thank you sir!..i hope I'm helping and its great to have you on the channel
I want to second this, I've watched a lot of random detailing videos and none are as realistic and real world experience than Scott.
Dallas Paint Correction & Auto Detailing Would this work to get stains out of your car interior I know dumb question but hey would be nice to know
:Xx_All_Star_One_xX : I use purple power for my interior and it works but if it's on leather or carpet you have to scrub it off as soon as you spray it
:Xx_All_Star_One_xX : don't use it on Marine vinyl either, even if you dilute it down it's pretty strong still I used it to get tree sap off the white vinyl
In case you didn't know he is using 4-1
DeadisBetter hhhhh
😂😂😂
DeadisBetter and he is not hacking from the smell lol
on a tire off a utility trailer ? correct ? :)
*In case you didnt know 4-1 is 3.*
Based on this video I bought super clean diluted 4:1 and it worked perfectly on my dirty tires - thanks!
You sound like Ray Romano
With a little bit of Howard Stern
HMGExecutive lmfao
i thought he sounds like Alan Alda from M.A.S.H.
That was my first thought too!
Ha..no shit. Sounds like a Boston accent'..not Texan.
Get him to say "Boston has the best baked beans"
wow! I just cleaned my tires with super cleaner and I must say im very impressed. It didnt leave any residue left over and was easy to apply my tire dressing because it was so clean. Thank you again Scott for the video, it really helped me out.
thats so awesome..im glad i was able to help!..im definitely enjoying it myself and thanks for the update Hen
Hahaha, even though he was very redundant on his terms it's still a very good and straightforward vid. not stupid loud music, no stupid cutaways, no yelling and not stupid jokes. Good job.
I wish you washed the wheel too just to see how it looked and cleaned up.
Mark Holbrook he did wash the wheel
Louisiana Lac ... no, he didn't... he only did the tire... he never touched the metal "wheel"
DBS MODs its called a rim lol
zMerKz no it’s a wheel
Rick Harrison A wheel is the whole thing. Rim inside a tire makes a wheel
I been using this stuff for a long time it used to be called Castrol super clean degreaser. What I have learned is that it is safe for all rubber, plastic and metal. If you spray your tires cover up the wheel with a wheel cover because over time the little spots that get on the wheel those will eat away the clear on your wheels. If you have chrome wheels spray away. If you have a presser washer you dont even have to scrub. Purple power is water compared to this. If you get it on your hands it will eat them up if you let it sit long enough.
That has been my favorite stuff for years, I always get the big jugs at Walmart and refill an Ace Hardware spray bottle. In my experience it's the only cleaner you hardly have to use a brush with. But be careful, it will remove paint at full strength sometimes.
Keeps saying wheel, greasy wheel, dirty wheel, wheel, wheel, wheel. .........cleans the tire.
i know right:)
I detailed my whole car today !! (but just cleaned windows)
2:40 he finally said tire😂😂
Stop. Just stop. Tire, wheel. Motor, engine. He is offering his knowledge as he knows it. He feels he found a great product and he is sharing that info. Flashlight, torch. Tomato, tomato. Give the guy credit where credit is due.
read the fuckin title numbnuts.
Theres a product I use that I consider an absolute priority when I'm washing nasty cars (Which I do often, as I buy and sale used vehicles and a lot of the vehicles that I take on trade are neglected.). You can pick it up at Dollar General for $1 for a 20oz spray bottle, or $3 for a 64oz jug, its called "L.A.'s Totally Awesome".
I've used on everything from interior, to tree-sap on paint, wheels and tires, dirty engine bays, etc. I've tried simple green, purple power, and some other brand name high-strength cleaners for wheels and tires and none of them even come close (And most are over double the price). With a tire in the shape like you had, I could spray it on there, and almost immediately run low pressure across it and yield the same results you did.
I remember about two years ago, I went a picked up a car that had been sitting between a barn and a shed for 5 years. It was insanely cheap, the lady claimed it ran and drove when parked and that the vehicle was pretty nice under all the gunk. Granted, it wasn't until I hooked a winch to it, drug it out of some vietnam-level shrubbery and opened the door that I even knew what color it was. She insisted that if I moved the car, I owned it (Because she didn't wanna have to find a way to put it back in its place if I didn't). Anyhow, I gave her next to nothing for the vehicle, loaded it up and went and bought 2 $3 jugs of "Totally Awesome". Poured them in an old 2 gallon pressurized sprayer similar to what you have, and ran to the car wash. I sprayed literally, and I mean literally, the whole car down. Paint (Which you couldn't tell the color), WIndows (Which you couldn't see through), Wheels and TIres (Which were all flat, covered in mud since they had been sitting in about 6inches of it for half a decade), everything. The first pass on made with the pressure washer took off practically everything. I sprayed it all down again, rinsed it the 2nd time making sure to pass special attention to the weather stripping and creases/body lines... and it was clean. I ran some good car wash over the paint, wiped it down, and it looked perfect.
I texted the lady a picture of it sitting in my shop about an hour after I left her house and she couldn't believe it. She swore up and down I stole the picture off the internet until she recognized one of her parking-pass stickers on the windshield lol.
Anyhow, its great stuff. If you're looking for something to take care of stubbourn tires I highly suggest (However I wouldn't recommend using it on quality paint..)
Ok! Just got pen and paper. Anyone catch the ratio?
4 to 1
Just a thought but a spare trailer tire doesn’t have any brake residue or road grime like a car in a vehicle would have. This would make it easier to clean imo.
You are the Bob Ross of detailing. ‘This is your world...use whatever works in your world...” 😁
Anyone able to catch what ratio he is using 😂😂
I think its 1 part SuperClean, 4 parts water.
Not sure, but he's cleaning a tire. On his utility trailer.
I think he said 4:20.....
I do believe he's at a quarter super to water
😊😊😊 40:1
Thanks for the video. I had brown gunk on the tires of a truck I'm getting ready to sell and I couldn't get it off...I tried a steamer and Dawn and nothing. I was going to run out and buy Bleche Wite but the last bottle I had, I had for years and barely used it (and have since lost or tossed it because I can't find it) and don't like all the "corrosive" warnings on the label. I already have Super Degreaser on hand as I use it often for cleaning tools and machinery that I resell. Anyway, I watched your video and ran outside right away to clean the tires and just finished and the black and brown crap that melted off on contact was amazing. One word of warning; the mist from Super Degreaser will irritate your nose and throat, my throat is slightly scratchy right now. I knew that was the case and thought I had backed away well enough and held my breath long enough while spraying it but I guess not. At any rate, I always enjoy your videos and I'm grateful that you made this video because I wanted to just get this vehicle done and down the road with out anymore trial and error.
Bet you forgot about that leftover box of covid masks. Time to move them out to the garage!
I use dollar store degreaser. Works great!
snowboard13gcuz LA Totally Awsome?
Way to tell everybody you're a cheap ass lol
LA totally awesome is the best degreaser and it’s only a buck. i’m fine looking cheap because i don’t look like a sucker
I just bought super clean at Dollar General so it’s a “dollar store product” too.
inAGoodSchmude 😂
I think he's using 4-1 guys
Lmao
Dude we get it 4:1, dirty tire, never been cleaned, back of trailer.. just clean it and shut up lol
Yeah, but you forgot that no customer of his would ever have a tire that dirty.
Hahahhahah
HAMMERED
Little grouchy are you
jmhm17 and the classic "I'm not hacking"
I love using the cans of foaming tire spray to clean off my rims. It is amazing how it eats through all of the grease and grime that stick to the rims. Usually, I give it a good spray before going through a car wash. It's the easiest and most mess-free way of cleaning the tires!
I have used this stuff for years! I buy the 2.5 gallon size at Walmart.
awesome!..i just love the stuff
Andy's Auto Care Plus ... i've used this for years also ... full strength superclean destroys shock absorbers, brake lines, CV boots, ball joint covers, hoses, seals and other rubber components... it'll also take the skin off your hands a day later
When you say "destroys", are you using hyperbole, or cautioning?
Keith H ... cautioning... I ruined a bunch of stuff on a few cars with this stuff... problem is you don't know it for awhile... but it eats into rubber and dries it out and causes cracking and failure.
You must have lots of tires.
That's a great solution, I do it on my Lexus to get off the brake dust from being on the highway so much. Sometimes when I don't have degreaser, I find that DAWN dish soap works well, too. Both have a near no-effort effect on cleaning off wheels and tires.
Suggestion: Next time use a control. For example, half the tire is cleaned with water, the other with the cleaner. Show how it compares to just water and elbow grease.
Why? All anybody needs to see is if it would clean the g'damn tire. Water and elbow grease would be useless, if you're ever tried to clean a tire you'd know this. A half and half "control" is for retards.
Scott is awesome, always sincere and not afraid of what others are going to say. I appreciate the video!! I have learned a lot from you…thanks!
Wow i am digging that little liquid sprayer, If i was to own a Detailing Business, Every employee would have one of these and no hose for ittle jobs. Those little sprayers can save you thousands on a yearly water bill alone.
The more you save, the more you can invest in your business and keep people employeed. Why can't Employee's understand this :o/
Thanks for the idea 👍
Hey Scott you are a great teacher, I am pissed off on all the other AF I bought but that's why I go to you to verify. Now do you think a ratio of 5 : 1 will work the same?......just asking so that it can even my thinking of 5 vs 4.
I'm going to test it at 5:1 and give you a update..im sure it should be fine but i will let you know..thanks for your comment and I'm grateful for your support
Update!!! Super Clean Degreaser is now sold in walmart for less than $9. its in the automotive and boat section for 1gal Degreasers.
i know and i think thats awesome!...thanks for the update eluka2001..awesome to have you on the channel and thanks for the comment:)
No need to scrub it. Soak the tire then hit it with a pressure wand.....it will come a lot cleaner if you do. Super clean is better for motors and greasy stuff.. awesome from the dollar store works amazing and you can even spray awesome on your paint and glass and tires and won’t harm anything and will blow your mind!! I’ve used super clean and purple power but awesome is my absolute favorite!!
Hi Scott’ does anyone use Bleche White anymore? I’ve been using it for years and love it. How about testing it? Thanks! Love Ya!
Love ur videos Scott. Love the way you thoroughly speak your points, tips, and general product knowledge. I hate when videos are not descriptive enough. Also you answer a lot of questions before people even ask them. Keep up the great work
Hey Scott Walmart sells a bottle sprayer called master blaster for $2.97 and it’s excellent. It has a wide mouth so refilling is easy. I know this is an old video but I thought I would let you know.
I am so so glad i watched your video. Everytime i wanna clean my wheels and tires i always gotta run to the carwash since i dont have access to a hose and water and you gave me the best idea ever to use that pump sprayer. How could i not have thought of that? Its amazing
Thank you so much for your video i will buy one of those sprayers right away.
I use it on my tires all the time. It works great at removing dirt before polishing.
hey scott your doing great, i have been detailing for 50+ years. nowadays just a few a week to keep me alive. guess what? I'm starting to experiment with stuff from dollar tree. the degreaser and tire shine works great. not harsh just enough. sure may have to scrub a little more but my customers don't have that bad of vehicle's anyway.
Does this make the tire slick? Was wondering how it would work on motorcycle tires? Obviously, I don't want any slickness, just cleaning of the black tire. Would you recommend this for motorcycles, and if not, what would you recommend? thx!
There can be surface oxidation on the tire. I use Comet scouring powder, a little water, and a scrub brush. It scrubs off the oxidized rubber surface, and gives you a nice black surface. I then use a preservative and the tire looks great. Less work too.
Your suggestion is not less work than what he's doing, I can promise you that. Your Comet method requires the abrasive to do the work, the Super Degreaser method starts working on contact with mild agitation just to speed up the process and to evenly spread the product so it gets the cleaner in all the patterns and letters/numbers on the sidewall.
I have that same Lowe’s pump sprayers. I mix car soap and water in it and spray the car down before washing the truck
Thank you for making me aware of this product I went out and bought some today and it cleaned my floor mats and made him look like they were brand new
Great video to demonstrate SC. I used SC full strength on my tires but seeing that at 1:4 it cleaned that really dirty tire! Oh man I'm going to save some money now since I don't have to use full strength!
Super Clean is usually on the shelf along with Purple Power (at least 30% cheaper). Would Purple Power yield the same results?
I had very little wheel cleaner left and was about to buy more; Then I stumbled on one of these videos saying you can use Super Clean (which I have) - brill!!
What ratio was being used? is it 5:1? I wasn't sure.. :P i use super clean to get rid of tire dressing that has sucked in a bunch of road grime. it works amazing. But it would be a good idea to dress the tire afterwards because you just removed a bunch of oil off the surface layer of the tire. I imagine you would eventually see cracking if you didn't dress the tire afterwards.
"you don't want to drink it, probably don't want to inhale it" best quote ever
Super clean is great!!! It is stout if not diluted, but works very well. Also I believe lowes or home Depot sells ZEP Industrial Degreaser, works very well also.
I agree J Mar! FYI, the aerosol is on BOGO at AutoZone right now until Septeber 22nd if you haven't tried it yet.
I use super clean all the time. It works great on aluminum wheels and cleaning really nasty interiors.
He said 1-4 , correct ? J/K
I wonder if the foam can is a full strength and if the can stuff works as well as the liquid stuff ?
Scott have you tried a product called Spray Nine? Its advertised as good for brake dust. Would be interesting to see how effective it is as a wheel cleaner.
no...but i will check it out..thanks for the tip
If you will notice top of tire was very clean and also he removed a little with his finger. I’m a professional auto body technician. I do detail jobs, this stuff does not work like he says. If you want a good product spend a little more money on good product for a good clean. It’s true when it comes to car cleaning, you get what you pay for.
I got goospumps all over my back when u brushed the wheel😂😂😂
try spray 9 it is by far the best . and it cleans gummy steering wheels up better than anything
If you use it full strength, be careful because it will burn your legs if it fall into it. My girl sat on a 55 gallon drum of super clean with a pump dispenser, and it byrned her leg, with skin turning red and flaking off
No I'm 100% percent with you that super degreaser is really strong and I'm 16, and every time I use it the chemical makes my cough it's so strong.
I've been looking for a degreaser that i can use in the interior of the car while also the tires/wheels.....This seems promising, i will try 4:1 and see how i feel about it
Every time I watch this guy I learn something. He’s great! Good job Scott !
what about vinegar and hand soap and baking soda mixed at 2 bucks try that on a new dirty tire and compare these 2 for cost
I have fairly clean tires other then the brown tint from nasty cheap tire dressing. What do you recommend for getting that off? And a good brush too?
Is super clean okay to use on tires mounted to alloy wheels? I have a GMC Yukon with alloy wheels I’d like to keep nice! BUT I have that brown grime I can’t seem to get off of the tires with anything! Thank you!
As usual I learned something from your video, thank you. It saved me some money, since I realized that I can buy just about any degreaser (as long at it doesn't damage my tires and rims) and it will work so long as I put tons of product and have a strong brush that I use hard on the tires about 3 or 4 times. I'm not being sarcastic, I know it's not what you were trying to show, I'm just saying it's what I learned, and it was helpful.
Super Degreaser is by far the best degreasing and cleaning agent that I've found for use on anything. The stuff is incredible.
I've been eyeballing your videos for a while now. You have been giving great advice for as long as I can remember. I've decided to jump the gun and hit that subscribe button today because you've earned it. As a new CZcams channel such as myself , I hope to make it to your league one day. Thanks for sharing everything you do and stay blessed !
Hows the tire look when dry? I stopped using cleaners for tires awhile back they always looked grey after so i just use car soap now.
can you use this on paint? had some oil spill/splash in the bed of a pickup. going to use it on the bed, but what is safe to get oil off of the painted surfaces ?
Hey Scott, I just bought this gallon that you used in the video. Is it safe to use on the "rim or wheel" cause obviously it's safe for the tire. Thank you!
Hello Andrew - We've had many detailers tell us that they use SuperClean on rims with great success. We recommend you dilute down (4:1 seems to be Scott's magic mixture!) do only one rim at a time and don't walk away from it as you don't want it to sit too long or dry. Spray on, use a brush to agitate and rinse thoroughly.
Thanks for becoming a SuperClean customer! If you have any other questions or would like additional assistance, please contact our Customer Service department at customerservice@superclean.com or 651-365-7590.

I can use two pump sprayers and clean a small sedan . I have a is300 and it works out fine.
When finished, deflates tyre and re fills it with lemon scented air, then a spot of Mobile 1 on valve stem thread, then shines valve cap with protectant, replace valve cap ', not too tight, just snug', as I'm almost 50 and don't want to risk damaging my fingers at this stage of my life! :-).
Not bad mate. Thinners does a good enough job for this sort of job. I use all types cleaners. Like citrus . Kero. Thinners. Degreaser. Depends on what you are cleaning
But will this do the same thing for a tire that gets shined with tire shine every other week.
New drinking game: drink every time he says 4-1
I wanted to see if it was going to get rid of the rust......
I wonder if this would be safe for the paint to remove bugs from the front of a vehicle.
Im confused are you useing more super clean then you are useing watter? Or more watter then you have supper clean
Also, I have found it very wise to have a Sharpie handy to mark what all of your spray containers have in them and what mix ratio.
I never use a stimg degreaser full , I dilute it 5 to 1 for leather or Vinyl and 1 to 4 for Plastics amd Rubber.
Full Strength would probably cause early dry rot tires 😡 I would not do it.
So I got a question maybe you can help me out I have a golf cart with all vinyl seats and armrests the seats are black and orange in color I have what's called spider poop all over my vinyl and I can't find a product to get it off have you had any experience with this type of situation any suggestions would be appreciated
Are there anyone else finding these comments hilarious other than me? 🤭
M Piper he’s hilarious but he’s extremely gifted, smart and has a ton of wisdom also !
Hey Scott! I was just wondering how to dilute a product. For example Super Clean 4:1.. do I pour the product to the number 4 first then the diluted water or what??
I've always used it full strength and I think I'll try it diluted now - thanks
I love this guy, he is a great guy and super down to earth!
That was impressive! Supper Clean now gives a crap, they love you for this video!😂😂😂
You need to try real industrail degreaser, it the kind that will make your skin tingle. Spray it on and hit it with a pressure washer and thats it.
Purple power works better for me, maybe u should compair the 2
Anyone else get the chills from the sound of that brush on the tire? Lol
Any tips on cleaning the canvas on a convertible top ?,
So super clean or purple power degreaser? Which one is better?
Scott you're using a 4 to 1 dilution ratio any problem with that getting on a modern-day chrome wheel? I have a 2017 GMC Yukon super clean says 16:1 that seems really really weak and if you're using 4:1 on the tire any issue with over spray as I have no real world experience with this stuff yet. Thanks bro great videos keep it up!!!
I highly recommend using cleaners designed for the tires. If that cleaner draws the oils out of the tire, it will be dry rotted in no time.
There is a reason companies spend millions in product development for tire cleaners. Just an opinion from someone who works every day in the tire world.
Agreed. My tires started leaking on the sides and I had to replace them. I wish I would've been warned. I used armor all after super clean every time too.
i have a very dirty seat belt light tan in color, what should i clean it with? the super clean looks like a good product.
Newton, Scott did a great video cleaning a seat belt using Super Clean. Also, Super Clean is currently offering Scott's subscribers $2 off the aerosol on Amazon. The coupon code is: 2DPC
Discerning gentleman, Thank You for the info, I did just order a gallon jug of Super Clean from Walmart for $8.97 seem to be the best price i found.
Scott, so in what instances would you opt to use megs super degreaser over super clean?
What subscriber would write in to ask if a 4:1 will work? Why wait for an answer when that subscriber could easily do it himself/or herself. Wow!!!
Hi. I LOVE YOUR VIDEOS! YOURE SO AWESOME. I don't have access to a hose and I really wanted to know if you can tell me what kind of water pressure spray bottle you used in this video please? I bought some but they did not have good pressure. I like the one you use in this video. Thank you so much
I saw on 1 video where you used IPA to wipe down the tire after cleaning, will the paint prep work as well
Does it stain black wheels 🤷🏼♂️ 4-1
he says that wheel is covered in dirt and grease and stuff. I don't see any grease! just water soluble dirt!
Try it on an old engine for a test of grease cleaning...
But how
does it look when completely dry?
What about brown stuff that’s on your rubber part is will that kill it?
Nothing new here I've been using Super clean for years and years on tires ! Best stuff end of story
Super clean looks like it did a good! I need to wash my Honda this weekend I will go buy it and I will give it a try. Thanks my friend for a good demonstration in the products!
I mean a good product!
Super clean Is amazing!! however you don't want to apply to a hot surface use on my tires and rims and mix with hot water for carpet cleaner in car and engines but don't put on trim it'll fade out really bad unless treated proper way
Applied to hot surface such as engine don't breath in as your spraying it'll cem burn your lungs
Are tire cleaners bad for tires? Like does it dry it out or not? Etc?
Just got some . Auto zone carries it . Any thought on using it on wheels maybe diluted a little bit more ? Would be nice to use 1 product for wheels and tires , efficiency .. 👍🏽
well you know I'm a big fan of meguiars wheel brightener and i can't imagine walking away from it for rims..but i will do some testing and get back to you
Hello Scott...! 1 Year removed, and GREAT VIDEO, but have you tried X-Tream Clean Tire Strip... OMG this stuff works really good. Made specifically for motor crossing / ATV enthusiasts, but great on cars/trucks.
Why is Superclean so expensive in the UK
