Saw him in Glasgow. The man is class. His band were fantastic. I am so glad I got to see him. I saw the Frankies in 1985 so it was amazing to see him after all those years.
Always rated Warriors of the wasteland highly, 2nd album Liverpool inspired me to visit the City aged 17 when freshly passed driving test, Woolworths provided my fix via cassette & vinyl, F.G.T.H. & Holly Johnsons amazing vocal range & style transcends the decades sublimely, should never have split, fresh as ever 2024 & beyond, Respect & Love all day long ✌🙏
What a f****** great band. The intro is giving me goosebums. And Holly Johnsons voice is also amazing. The closest to frankie goes to hollywood, and i would die to attend one of shows on the tour.
Ma chanson préférée est depuis toujours Welcome to the pleasure down
wow ... great concert and sound! thx AB for all the culture... well well done... funny to see all the mobiles recording the show... but nobody watches them after ;-) ... they should better focus on the music & show ... when Parents behave same as there kid's haha
Frankie Goes To Hollywood à Forest National en 87...
Even after all these decades his voice continues to sound so good & powerful! To sound good Holly does not need FGTH for anything. Like it or not but without Holly FGTH is nothing.
@@Throssellznest Apparently he was diagnosed with "AIDS defining illnesses" so it really wasn't good and definitely explains why touring was out of the question for quite some time.
Those days they used to hold a lighter up for great songs. Today every idiot is using the cellphone to get a full video from a bad angle and awful sound. Not sure what was better 😆
I get a REALLY weird feeling in not such a good way seeing this. I miss the rest of original line up. I mean I get it, but I also saw some grt togethers that really worked in a good way. This sound good, absolutely, but it's a bit off for me. Interesting though ❤
TBH if the original FGTH got back together they´d be playing along to backing tracks with lots of other musicians doing the heavy lifting - it would be more about visuals than the music. These guys seem to be really good players.
What are you talking about? There has never been togetherness within the FGTH. There was Holly and then there was Paul and his lover Mark and Paul's court.

Vocal range is NOT Holly's strength....but his voice is definitely distinct and fit FGTH to the "T"....
Holly is one of the best singers of his time.Thx for the good times.🙏
That was really good. Holly sounds fantastic, honestly.
The sound of my youth. Fantastic
I had him as a passenger in my taxi in Dublin last week - such a down-to-earth gent!

Great Band, great Musicians
Honors to the band too. 👍
I love SQUEEZE and they're my all time favorite band but no album from the 80's comes close to WELCOME TO THE PLEASUREDOME !!!

As of right at this very moment ,"Two tribes" could make a total revival in a new video setting, very actual. 👀✌
Absolutely 💯
Eterno!!!

0:49:54 This Was Me - my favorite song from the movie Everybody's Talking About Jamie

His body language and dance pass are decades later still the same. 😄✌
I guess because he was obliged to perform it that way, I'd bet on it.
1:03:25 --> The Best Anti-War-Song ever and ever 🙂
Set list?
Different band and setlist from the live concert streamed on Arte in the summer. It´s a pity Holly wasted 25 or so years without doing any touring.
To be fair, he was fighting off AIDS for much of that time.
H.I.V not aids Holly is doing so well glad we still got him! ❤

Well, nice. But it’s not FGTH in the end. Too bad.

@@sarkanysusu2050 I must admit that I do not know all the specifics. But it made me happy to see/hear this anyway.
