- Cannibal Corpse just released a single for their upcoming album, 'Chaos Horrific,' which will be their 16th full length release. The single is called "Blood Blind," and I tried my best to learn it as quickly as possible by ear. I listened to the song over and over again, and I played it in one take. I'm positive I got a few things wrong and messed up parts of the solo, but I wanted to share this as is: quick, raw, and excited to hear the rest of the album. One important thing to note is, I think the beginning riff has power chords and not tritones. I decided to go with the tritones, despite going against my gut feeling that Cannibal Corpse wouldn’t write a riff with tritones like this, because it sounded more in tune with them. Maybe that’s because my guitar wasn’t the best in tune or because I was listening to the root note. Regardless, I’m pretty sure it’s played with power chords. Enjoy!

Damn, you are fast to do this cover. Well done. And respect to learn this stuff by ear.
Thank you! I appreciate it. Cheers!
How you made this guitar tone alone is worth mentioning. True death metal tone! Great playing too!
Thank you! The axe fx does all the work haha
You mean you played it from ear in full after just listening a couple of times?? Sounding great man.
Yes! I learned it by ear after listening to it A LOT of times. Haha thank you!
It sounds like a strong storm
It’s a killer song for sure!
Nailed It... Thank you for sharing 🤘🤘🤘
Thank you for watching!
Not really nailed, there are major mistakes
@@petergjata1498 definitely didn’t nail it all the way haha
@@kevinberstler If you'd like to know, the second riff is four hits of 1 (7th string) and 2 (6th string) with the fifth one being 0(7th) and 2(6th), repeat, and then repeat again but with just two hits on the 1(7th) 2(6th) instead of four. Of course, with the tremolo on the 2(6th) at the end of the phrase. When it restarts the tremolo part is now 2(6th) 1(7th) 2(6th) 2 bent (6th) 2(6th) 1(7th) 2(6th) 2 bent (6th). This tremolo part, when used to transition (both to get to the next riff and to come back to this one), becomes 2(6th) 1(7th) 2(6th) 3(5th) 7(5th) 3(5th) 2(6th) 3(5th). The third riff is mainly made of powerchords with the added octaves. The root of the first powerchord/octave is 1 fret of the 7th string, the second one is 0(7th), then seven palm-muted hits of 0(7th) and 2(6th) [so just the powerchord you ended up in], then 1 fret powerchord/octave, one hit back at the 02 powerchord, 1(7th) powerchord/octave again, but slided into the 4 fret powerchord/octave, one hit back at the 02 powerchord, and 1(7th) powerchord/octave slided into the 4 fret powerchord/octave again, and the riff restarts, the tremoloed notes in this third riffs are the same as in the second one. Hope it was clear enough, might not be 100% accurate but it definitely sounds more spot on. I only learned these two because I don't like the single at all tbh ahaha
Awesome work

Brutal cover🤘 I was actually thinking of doing a cover for this song. Probably won't be able to get the audio as good as yours. Still new to making videos.
Thank you! I want the tabs already to see how to actually play it hahaha.
For audio, I record one centered guitar track over the song inside Ableton and don’t use any of the camera audio.
Good job man! Like everyone else is saying, holy shit that was fast lol
Thank you!!!! Not 100% accurate, but still very fun haha
That *Guitar* looks like it got Missiles hidden inside it somewhere 😂 🔥🎸🔥
Thanks for watching!
Chingón!, cómo conseguiste la tablatura camarada?
Gracias por ver! La aprendí por oído.
Ive listened to alot of heavy music in my life, but that's the heaviest song ever recorded, can anyone find anything any heavier, lmk
Definitely a heavy track for sure!
set tunning ?
Ab/G# Standard. Thanks for watching.
what’s the tuning? great cover!
Thank you! Ab Standard. You can play it on a six string like me, but I saw that Erik Rutan used a seven string to record it.
Какой строй на гитаре?
Спасибо за просмотр. Гитара настроена на Ab Standard, который также называется G# Standard.
@@kevinberstler спасибо бро!!!
@@Goryana32 thank you!
Tune?
Ab Standard.
Well done! 👏 What strings gauge do you use?
Thank you! If I remember correctly, I think I used a seven-string pack of 11-64 from D’Addario and skipped the high E string.
@@kevinberstler thanks!
Ernie Ball Mammoths are great for detuning. 12-62 gauge, wound G string.
@@TheVermifuge I’ve tried them. I really like the NYXL tho. They seem to last a long time and sound and feel great.
@@kevinberstler Sweet! I'll try those next time.
are you using govee lights?
Yes
Is this Ab or G#?
Same thing, homie.
@@kevinberstler lol just being a smartass ... this is sick!
@@TheGeeJ haha thank you!!!
¿TABSS?
La aprendí con el oído. No hice tabs pero espero que el video te pueda ayudar.
What tuning?
Ab Standard. Thanks for watching! I always put the tunings in the description.
@@kevinberstler thanks!
@@larsa8825 of course!
i was gonna do a cover of this.....and what happened...within 10 secs the string bust ha...in the end i coudnt be bothered...good job tho man. from bham uk
Restring your guitar and do it, homie! Haha thanks for watching. Cheers from Colorado!
Could of swore this was in G# standard. Nonetheless, sick cover!
It is. Ab and G# are the same pitch. Thank you! I appreciate it!!
@@kevinberstler oh yeah.. I'm dumb haha. I forget the "b" means flat. Lol
@@schecter7elite801 haha no worries!
I just find it impressive to play basically “ thrash” style with that low of string tension. Not for everyone. Great video
6 string? Wtf? Isn’t this song in like drop F?
Close! Haha Ab or G# Standard.
