I wish You tube had a way to alert us for a series we desire to follow. I will be following your journey as its something on radar I desire to make as well. Thank you for doing this and I see how going to the I has led me to your build p of the series, awesome!
Thank you! and I think you can make an actual "series" on youtube but it's something I have to do on my end! I'll look into it (: Thanks for following my journey
Omg this is greattt! And the editing is so funny. I'm currently knitting the vest from your series btw (just finished the front panel --- also added cables and 1x1 for the ribbing). So I want to thank you for your amazing content 💓. I'm gonna try this next!
I just discovered your channel and I love it! I will start soon a vest but I'm in the middle of making a cardigan! I also don't know how to make one so I'm just trying to figure it out too hehe. Your intro made me laugh so much with your feet going out of your shoulders! Anyway, thanks and I'm looking forward to see your videos!
Hi! don't know if you noticed but in the information on the yarn where it says the composition, needles and all of that information, it also already has the gauge measurements! it says there 10x10 cm= 26 sts x24 rows. I think it's cool!
Hello! Yes I did see that, I try to knit my own gauge swatch because sometimes my tension is different but the tension on the yarn package gives me a good idea of what the tension will be. (:
Next time, you should make a video of knitting summer sweaters from those threads that don't feel soft/warm and are like nets with holes? (You know what I mean?) I want to make a vest but still need to get needles and yarn!
haha yeah I do! I'll try to make some summer stuff later this year. I'm actually a big fan of knitting summer clothes because I am very much a summer gal and I hate the cold!
Please help me I am trying to make it in off white color I have already started and half of the back is done but now I am so confused to continue or to stop .
Hey! Are you unsure about if you like it or not? I had the same problem the entire time I was making this cardigan 🥲 Tbh I never wear mine and I will probably unravel it all oneday and reuse the yarn but it was a good learning opportunity for me. Anyway good luck! (: And there is nothing wrong with starting again with a different pattern.
Hey! so after knitting the gauge swatch I worked out my tension (1cm = 2 stitches). Then I measured a shirt that was a similar fit to what I wanted and it was 44cm wide. That means each front piece is 22cm wide. I decided I'll add a 2cm button band to each of the front pieces at the end so that means each front piece needs to be 20cm wide. Because 1cm = 2 stitches, 20cm = 40 stitches. I hope this answers your question (:
Yeah that’s right! So first knit a gauge swatch, work out your tension and go from there. Good luck! I’m also relatively new to this process but it’s definitely worth the hassle (;
I love how you explained gauge swatching and how to plan out the measurements. It's something I'm still learning! Thanks for explaining it so well!~
No worries! It's something I'm still learning about too :)
Good or bad cardigan it will be fun for sure, and I'm a fan of Mena's voice 😄😄 slow and calm.
Definitely! though hopefully it turns out good haha 🙂

Oh really? I’m Australian but living in Amsterdam (:
@@mena_makes oh wow I live in the area, coincidencesssss

Please help me

I'm trying to place your accent. The way you say "here" sounds Australian to me. Are you from Australia?
what size needles did you use for this yarn?
hey! I used 3mm for the ribbing and 4mm for the rest (:
I was so confused for a hot second when I saw that the newspaper was in dutch hahaha
I am closer than you think... hahaha
how do you calculate how many stitches to cast on?
Hey! so after knitting the gauge swatch I worked out my tension (1cm = 2 stitches). Then I measured a shirt that was a similar fit to what I wanted and it was 44cm wide. That means each front piece is 22cm wide. I decided I'll add a 2cm button band to each of the front pieces at the end so that means each front piece needs to be 20cm wide. Thank you so much so you would just cast on the number of stitches equivalent to your ratios.
This helped so much thank you!!!
Yeah that’s right! So first knit a gauge swatch, work out your tension and go from there. Good luck! I’m also relatively new to this process but it’s definitely worth the hassle (;
