    mostly it depends on the way the driver abuses the clutch .. my s.5tdi VW caravelle is still going strong on the original DMF news to m,e on the butterfly valve .. makes sense . 78 years old and still things to learn .

      Even if you need a clutch kit, try to keep the factory flywheel the most you can. None will be as good

    Hello my friend. You made a great video. From your speech, I can see that you are a good Italian car mechanic. I have a problem that no one can help me with. I drive a 2016 Jeep Renegade Multijet, 2.0 diesel 140 hp, 4x4, manual. After the car had driven 32,000 km, the engine traction disappeared. The engine runs rough and the muffler sound is notorious. I took it to the Jeep dealership, but after an inspection they said everything was fine. However, the car has no power and fuel consumption has increased significantly. There are no warning or information lights on the dashboard. At the same time, there was a strong rattling noise from under the engine. When the engine is turned off, it burns even more. There was a rattle when moving from a place. Also strong vibration. I was told at the Jeep dealership that it was the flywheel that was audible and needed to be replaced. I said that I hear the noises in different places: near the gear box and under the engine near the timing belt where the oil pump is. I know my Jeep has a balancer shaft complex that can cause vibrations. Sometimes the engine runs fine, but it's rare and more common when the weather is cooler. Then, when moving from a place, there are relatively fewer skids, and the traction is better. Another thing is that when the car is turned off, that damper, which, according to your video report, makes a loud hum and sounds like strigimp. This takes about 10-12 seconds. At the same time, the turbine also makes strange noises, like a jam. The turbine is fully electric and has no vacuum connection. Sometimes I smell burning plastic when I stop and turn the car off. The smell is in the front, right where the turbine is. Jeep specialists say that as long as no warning light comes on in the dash, they can't help me. Please, maybe you have some experience with this matter and can recommend me something? Thanks for the help.

    Very good information, well explained. it is better if you could change the title to get more viewing. Rename for example
    " Every one Should Watch, If you are Driving " - "Function of Dual Mass Flywheel, Clutch disk, Pressure plate and others explained"
    In The Title include EGR valve, Clutch, Flywheel, Dual Mass Flywheel, friction control plate,,clutch release bearing, that would come up in every search.
    Good Luck

    Do you have any driving tips to maintain the DMF?
    I also have a 1.9JTDm 156 with 160,000km. My clutch is stiff and I don't want any problems with DMF

    • @alfaromeonoproblem
      @alfaromeonoproblem  Před rokem +1

      Hello. Thank you very much! For maintenance on the flywheel I always remember not to eliminate or deactivate the intake valve. Also, using the same make of components of the factory will do wonders. A stiff pedal indicates a tired clutch press or the brand of the kit is not the best. On your case use only Valeo components, Luk or AP will ruin the system. Also the pedal being hard will kill the master and slave clutch cylinders mutch sooner.
      For the cylinders maintenance I recommend replacing the fluid at max at 2 years or 40.000 Kms. If the area is damp or you live in the mautains is 1 year or 20.000.
      Another tip is when taking of, use a bit of accelerator, to avoid vibranting the engine too much, new cars do this automaticly too.
      If you need more info, check out my playlist for clutch and gearbox related issues.

    Superb info!
    Question, if the flywheel free play is beyond 20 degrees (which is general LUK specification) can this cause a "thumb" sound?
    This happens with me when I want to drive away in first gear and am are letting go of the clutch slowly and are at gripping point.
    Sounds like a worn motor mount, but is isn't. Motor and car shakes.

    • @alfaromeonoproblem
      @alfaromeonoproblem  Před 11 měsíci

      Hello. The shakiness is not normal, no matter the play on the flywheel. Hotspots on the surface will do that symptoms.
      Unfortunately the Luk flywheels will make noises just because.. that ate just like that.

  • @DashCamSerbia

      @@alfaromeonoproblem Hmm. How can it close the intake valves, when they are supposed to be open at that moment? A Multiair engine probably can, but the regular one, hmm.

    • @alfaromeonoproblem

    Car industry scam to force you to replace nonreplaceable part. I really mad because for my Vw Passat 1.8 TSI 2015 don't have conversion single mass flywheel kit. I will trove that scam dual mass in junkyard right away. There was conversion kit for older models but they stop make them for new ones. That free play which new dual mass flywheel have brake transmissions gears, regularly single mass with clutch disk with springs have NO free play.

    For a VW- Volkswagen Passat B6 1.9 TDI 2007 Clutch issues
    Dual-mass flywheel with friction control plate,,clutch release bearing, as complete Luk?? I do not know what is in the Car.
    I believe it is better to change all complete clutch kit and Dual mass flywheel. does it matter LuK 600 0016 00 Clutch Kit or MAPCO 10767 Clutch Kit or JP, GROUP 1130413419 Clutch Kit
    with clutch release bearing, with flywheel, QH
    is it good to "Conversion from dual-mass flywheel to single-mass flywheel" RIDEX 479C0081 Clutch Kit much cheaper
    VALEO 835035 Clutch Kit

      Hello. On VW is typically Luk. I do not recommend mix match anything because you will never know what brand come inside those brands, they don't do the product.
      About single mass... Not for every day application. It will kill you gearbox, your leg, engine mounts, and more. A good quality kit will always be the better option across all makes. Pay attention to online purchases.. lot's of fake parts out there!
