Feel bad for Coutinho as a Liverpool fan, didnt want him to leave but the money we got from him got us Alli and Virg and arguably the CL and PL, so fair play. He was horribly misused and miscoached at Barca but understandable as there's this entity there called Lionel Messi. Was happy for him when he went to Bayern and beat Barca to win CL.

I think so! City at that time almost always played some kind of 4-4-2 with Yaya in the middle, next to a hard tackling dude that rarely touched the ball. David Silva played down the left and Nasri down the right, sometimes it was Jesus Navas and Milner was the utility bench guy who could play all those positions. Sergio Aguero was always partnered with some tall guy, it was Dzeko, then Jovetic, then Negredo!

While the perception is that players are excessively overpaid for kicking a ball a few times a week, the reality is, the competition to get that pay check is extremely cutthroat and cruel. Sometimes it even takes chance encounters to make it despite your talent. Just look at players like Vardy and Martinelli, they could have easily stayed in the lower leagues if not for the scouts that discovered them. Having joined a prestigious academy isn’t always a guarantee.

From what I could see (I find the sacking of Dignley to be strange considering Vince's previous comments about her), I suspect all this has happened because Vince probably believes he's taken FGR as far as he could (considering his financial resources)...and has either lost interest or doesn't know where to go from here.
