- A gorgeous frosty early morning in the English countryside, rifle in hand, and Cai Ap Bryn is looking for a fallow doe to shoot for a breakfast barbecue. He shows how he shoots, prepares and then cooks his animal. What a way to start the day. We also have tips for shotgunners in this week's show. Sam Green points out a mistake that many shooters make when faced with a high crosser. And Charlie is out with a couple of duckshooters in Somerset, Matt Turley and Nigel White, putting some of that into practice on the teal that are coming in to a splash of water. Hunting plus cooking, fascinating!👏
It recalled memories, when I was teenager, my father brought relatives & friends outdoors, we went hunting & fishing, picnic in wild lands, enjoyed wonderful time.
Now I still stay at Taiwan island; I sent some Taiwan’s cooking methods, picnic events to Mr. Charlie; wish those will be helpful to be applied to the programs; probably, some the other day, we will watch similar events on this channel. I’ll do my best to find out more picnic recipes and send them to Mr. Charlie for reference. Also Taiwan’s government & people are discussing about opening hunting, fishing & guns, if there’s coming true, maybe get more field sports; I’ll send messages to Mr. Charlie, and hope Taiwan’s people can get your help in promoting.

Last week you offered up a comment about the British ornithology trust, checking the crop of several thousand of pigeons, I would like to read about the survey carried out. Pulsar thermal monocular is great! However forget the fancy sticks it’s a waste of money and as for suspended gralloch with a s hook and pulley that’s the biggest load of rubbish I’ve ever seen and I’m sure will convince some novices to waste money for no reason
Won't be buying a block and tackle for suspended grallochs. Looking to carry less, not more. Gralloch on the deck.
Hi Paul, I don't take this with me. I leave it in the truck... So, I can, gralloch and put it straight on without dragging it through the mud. They are very good
