Just imagine what an entire herd of water buffalo could do to a croc out of water if they possessed even a modicum of intelligence.
If they were intelligent, none of them would ever become prey. Just circle the herd when prey comes near.

J Trigga all the prey animals in Africa do that shit, it pisses me off. I’ll never forget a documentary I’ve seen of African wild dogs and they were chasing this one wildebeest and he was like 500 yards away from his herd and all he had to do was make it to them but he got tired and ultimately got eaten in front of his herd. None of them helped him so I literally would not ever want to be born as an animal of prey in Africa. You have your own back out there, it’s pathetic
Bradley Uppercrust III -- There have been many instances of prey coming back to help one of their own that was caught. Many videos exist of buffalo returning to help and actually successfully saving the buffalo being attacked.

They can use their horns to attack and they could not bend their head that low to attack the croc.
They knew he'd win. That buffalo was twice the size of the croc. He was dragging him out the water.

Buffalo 🐃 was in sudden extreme pain but he force to pull himself and didn't give-up this is lesson for all of us.

This looked like a tug of war. Especially when the other buffalos did not help their man and tried to make it a fair 1v1.
It could have been a risk. The croc has a mighty bite force. If buffalo attacks croc, croc bite it once in the leg and then it's broken. That's why they didn't help, or even thought about it.
Nah, buffalos can only use their horns to attack. It's impossible to bend their head that low to attack the croc. If the croc was standing on two feet, surely they would have charged at it.

An adult strong cape buffalo would make this croc fly away. And the croc weight 1 ton without fat mass. Bears weight less t'han 400 kg without fat mass.
I love nature. The look of shock and astonishment on the other buffalos! If it was a lion they’d have all fought for their friend without thinking but when it’s a crock they were all too shocked and dumbfounded 😂
Lions are built to kill other animals; they have to hunt otherwise they will die. so, do or dies situation, but buffalos have horns built for defensive and escape and not for kill. Kill will not give any food for them.

It's amazing how strong buffaloes are. Sometimes not even a 200-million-year-old creature can compete with them. Those buffaloes could easily gore it with their horns if they had taken the opportunity.
