Will was able to smack Rock. Sit back down and enjoy the rest of the show. Win an award. Get a standing ovation. Then proceed to give the longest speech in Oscar history without being cut off by music. This is privilege. This is Hollywood.

Plus, the likes of denzel Washington, sam Jackson and orhers giving him high-five, patting it on the back, and he echoed what Denzel Washington advised him, "that when he, a person, reached a level in life, the devil will come at him", paraphrasing

However, he is at the top payscale, and I thought about him returning it if the Academy gets unbalanced w/ their b.s. consequences. YET, Will Smith should never have put his hands on Chris Rock. Regardless of who comments, or, what anyone else has done or did do in their lives. Will Smith was wrong, and, it's much much worse when he did it on that platform, and, who he did it to. There is no justification for it. The hypocrisy is real - everyone saw that Will laughed as well - maybe that's who Will was angry at - himself. Will and Jada have some SERIOUS issues, many of which Jada delights in sharing (that's the truth), and, Will appears to be uncomfortable sharing. Will Smith has emerged over the last ten years as a very Emasculated man, primarily because of the way Jada shares their personal lives, and, her MANIFOLD resentments of him. Jada has shared about his shortcomings sexually, her reluctance to marry him, and, about her love life with other men while they were married - all of these things played a factor in Will's very poor choice to hurt his friend. Add to the fact that Will and Jada know that Chris Rock has Asperger Syndrome - for which he struggles with every day. No, Will Smith was wrong. What they both need for people to do is to stop trying to unjustly rationalize this, and, to start collectively telling them to close ranks, step away, and get REAL counseling (Not no Red Table Talk), and, to look to God. It's very apparent that even their children could benefit from an emotional and spiritual retreat. In all honesty, Will Smith is blessed, because, what he did, would have landed the majority of African Americans, and anyone of African Heritage, in jail, with a lawsuit, or, worse.

I love Will and really hope he seeks help. Now as far as being traumatized, Amy Schumer didn't see the incident so yeah maybe traumatized was not the right word of choice but for the record, you do not have to be directly involved in an incident to be traumatized. As a comedian, (playing devil's advocate) any one of the ladies could have felt traumatized because they do stand up and thought oh my gosh this could happen to me. This situation has definitely displayed a lot. Will is not justified in anyway for his behavior. He should keep his award (maybe)but never be allowed back and should be held responsible to the fullest extent of the law. You can not assault someone in front of millions of people and walk away like it’s nothing. Jada did not protect you as your wife either. I’m going to be frank…. Jada will NEVER be up for an Oscar in her lifetime….but her husband has been working towards that. As his woman why on earth would you condone or give a pass to the behavior. If I was her I would have told Lupita to switch seats with me and hold his hand to calm him. I would’ve told my husband it’s not the time or place and tonight is his moment to shine. I would’ve told my husband to handle it later and thank him for loving and honoring me. I would’ve soothed my husband in that moment so he doesn’t make a mistake he later regrets. That moment wasn’t about her but about her husband and she didn’t care enough to understand that. That moment was also about so many amazing black professionals as well. The show was tainted and the tone of the show changed because of that moment. All the wins and opportunities not recognized because of that 10 sec moment. It’s completely unacceptable. Everyone is saying…. What if Will slapped a white comedian but I’m asking WHAT IF Will was a white actor who stormed the stage and slapped a black comedian or actor. We as the black community would be outraged and yelling “off with his head”. We would want all awards to be taken and charges to be pressed. There would be NO GRACE within our community towards that white actor….but why are we allowing grace when someone within our community messes up. It is okay to hold ourselves and those that are apart of our community accountable. It’s okay to provide correction with love. We can’t keep pacifying the behavior and stand by when we see those of our community like Kayne and Will and keep silent. I feel absolutely horrible for Chris and no one should be embarrassed like that on national tv. If it were me I would have embarrassed our community that day because I would have fought back. Chris wouldn’t have been wrong if he did defend himself. Man y’all we really need to think about all of this and truly be honest with ourselves, the situation and realize we have a lot of work to do as a community.

That slap could effect a viewer, the same as a person witnessing a smack on the street. It came out of no where, from a person who no one would have guessed. Could see the aggression and how Smith was not in a healthy space. Curious if the audience clapping was the faun and befriend response instead of fight or flight. They were all in shock and questioning their reality that they did what they acted normal. “I don’t want to be next so let’s walk on egg shells and finish this asap!”

In my opinion, Tiffany Hadish, Will Smith and others in Hollywierd and the entertainment industry have grown in their celebrity but not in classiness. At the end

Traumatized? Come on now. People are taking this to far. Were y’all traumatized when they stormed the capital and 2 people ended up dead? Anyone traumatized by hearing Trayvon Martin screaming for his life and a grown man killed him who is still by the way free? Let’s not act like we all don’t do things we shouldn’t. Just because we can’t see your wrong and expose you, don’t mean you haven’t done anything wrong. Stop condemning this man!
