Børsen (Borsen) building on fire in København (Copenhagen), April 16 2024, 8:15 AM.

This is several video clips of the fire at Børsen (Borsen) in København (Copenhagen) on the morning of April 16, 2024. I took these videos between 8:15AM and 8:42AM. The spire fell between clips, 7:04 time marker, though you can see the partial scaffolding collapse just after time marker 11:00. Sorry for the footage being shaky at times; it was very cold this morning.
This is a sad day for the city. I can't say it's an exact parallel with Notre Dam, but for sure people are going to draw the obvious connection. A horrible (temporary?) loss of a beautiful historic structure and a harsh impact to the city's skyline.

Yes, this is truly a sad day for Copenhagen and Denmark. The Dragon Spire was said to protect the building against "enemy violence, and fire". It seems that yesterday 16th April 2024 that protection ran out.
Børsen had a major resaturation going on. I think the fire started when changing the roof. Børsen was to celebrate its 400 years anniversary this september 2024.
Børsen housed many objects of cultural value to Denmark and our history. Some were saved, others lost.
