Yuji Nishida (西田 有志 Nishida Yūji, born 30 January 2000) is a Japanese male volleyball player.
Nishida currently plays for JTEKT Stings, a volleyball club based in Kariya, Aichi, Japan. He made his debut with JTEKT Stings at V.League (Japan) on 6 January 2018 in a match against Osaka Blazers Sakai. His impressive debut at the young age of 17 soon earned him a position in JTKET's Starting 6 as well as Japan men's national volleyball team.
He is one of the youngest players in the 2018 roster of the Japan men's national volleyball team. He made his first international performance with the Japanese national team in 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's Nations League. In June 2018, he played a pivotal role in securing Japan's first win in 11 years against Italy where he collected 24 points from 21 spikes and 3 aces. In September 2018, in a match against Argentina in 2018 FIVB Volleyball Men's World Championship, Nishida became the youngest player ever to score 30 points in a match. In June 2019, Nishida broke serving records in the VNL history after hitting 7 aces in a single game during a match against Bulgaria - Sport

@Sarah Dayana well, in season 3 they were explaining as to why ushijima's left handedness was one of the reasons why it was hard to recieve, mainly because left hand services makes the balls spin differently than right hand services, and since most of the opponents they've faced off were right handed they never thought of learning how to recieve left handed serves

pardon me, I know its a gag comment aimed at anime in general, but Haikyuu has no such thing. The entire show in almost every chapter/episode of every game emphasized miracles happen only when you put the effort in. Haikyuu has never been about a sudden power boost.

Tempo is insanely scary in volley. The more you score with aces, the more the enemy team will screw up (speaking from experience). It's some sort of hidden superpower that anyone gets the moment they start getting those serves in. During one of my own matches I managed to score 9 times in a row with serve aces because the enemy team was losing more and more confidence as more and more of my serves landed and you get a special energy when you get aces. Tempo is so valuable
Just give this team a few years... they'll take volleyball to a whole new level and make it real life anime game.. they're so young and so talented its unbelievable the play they play

@Steve Thea That's the libero. Every team has a libero, they're basically the team defensive anchor. The liberos have to wear different colored jersey since they can switch with anyone in the back row, so the official and the opposing team know who the libero is to prevent cheating/exploit.
