The alternate head is absolutely fantastic. Big thumbs up to whomever sculpted that one. The psychic waves are cool too. Kinda wish we had a third head, with a similar sculpt but without the psychic energy since the figure is so light everywhere else.

On the drawings his suit has lines of stripes that look cool. But they did not add it on the figure. That’s the only reason I didn’t pick this one up. Rip off if you don’t show the complete design.

I'm buying a few of these as soon as the Amazon price drops down to $10. Nice to have some extra all-black male bucks that might come in handy in the future. You never know.
The proportion of this figure surprisingly looks way better in this video. The actual suit in the comics actually not just black. There are some missing details around the waist and thigh too if remember it correctly.

Since this on clearance now it's a really cheap but cool base body for customs
I'm always carving out the side of the torso (underarm) on these bucks to allow the arms to go down more

Nearly all the figures from this wave have been warming the pegs at most of the Walmarts here in my market. Don’t know if it’s a disconnect from the storyline or just collectors buying less due to reduced budgets incurred from the pandemic.
Most likely due to both the characters being very recent versions that are very divisive, resulting in less people caring about these specific looks and the lackluster BAF (I'd say about as bad as the Sp//dr BAF (both in character desirability and execution).
I would say they did not do a good job bringing the characters to the figure form. The story itself is great and I'm a big fan, but figure wise they are just boring. Cyclops could use an extra fisted left arm, Marvel Girl should be on a different body mold, and Magneto should have come with an unmasked headsculpt instead of grabbing hands.
I just got him for the head sculpt.

I read the whole story and it’s pretty good. Very dialogue heavy but has a lot of good scenes.
imagine my shock when i bought this figure and saw the directions on the box:
"remove from package, place directly in toilet."
i did it and it felt like any other time i've flushed sh*t.
I wonder if the Mr. Fantastic torso would have been a better choice for this

A fully black body could be useful for kit-bashing. Since this figure is probably gonna be a peg-warmer, it's probably gonna be cheep as hell soon.
There are little seems in the all black outfit from the comics that they could have painted on to at least make it seem like they put SOME kind of effort into this. Or: he wears a suit in that arc too, they could've done that.

I’ve never been an X-Men comics and the house of/powers of got me into it. I didn’t continue reading the main line X-Men but I am still reading New Mutants and Marauders.
Lol I was hoping for a rant. Your right though. The suit in the comics has small details but that's about it. I like the house of x stuff so far

Been reading x men continuously sence I came back to comics in 2004. Hickman is doing right by them.
I would have liked to see Hasbro use the less muscular Mr. Fantastic torso but I won't really complain. Like the man said, it does everything it needs to do.
It's not like I'm drolling on X-men comics, and before that I realized that the X-men comics are repetitive. Nowdays it's kinda something new and not a chore to read.

I thought this figure was lazy and uninspiring , they could have given him some psionic weapons and Armor like in Uncanny X-men 117 and do a translucent astral form like toy biz did back in the day.
I'll never not call Charles chuck from now on.
The initial HOX/POX miniseries were the most interesting ideas in X books in decades, however it immediately went off the rails as soon as it went back to monthlies and pretty much the entire X line is currently a complete waste of time unless dinner parties and playing dress up is your thing
I'm pretty sure the hands are supposed to be flesh colored, the head looks like the didn't sculpted another head with the eyes closed,It looks like they just painted a black line under the eye giving it 4 eyelids haha

It's been a decade since I bought a Marvel comic. I flip through some issues and get a few for free at my comic shop from time to time. The art is not great and the writing is usually worse. This design just represents how bad X-men and Marvel, in general, has gotten. They are so bad. The current X-men story has something to do with a party and the X-men are in these ridiculous costumes. Did you see what they did to She-Hulk? My god the horror.

They could have used a better body. Hasbro is trash. They even have new bodies from GIJoe. The Snake eyes body would have been great!
