    I was into torque when the rs came out. Then I was into TOP SPEED when the master came out... now, after riding for a while, I realized that I'll never need to go over 65km/h and I prefer torque and battery life over speed. #Torque=fun

      You know the tire plays a bigger role in the feeling, so 65 kmh feels different, i prefer a lynx over my master, but it has moded control screws on stanctions, or else it had a small ratle, . and it also is fast as shit, im going 83 on this wheel with 18% tiltback so its preety good

    And we are back to what made this channel great! Excellent reviews! Oh how I have missed your reviews! So much more in-depth and relatable to know how it is living with the wheel opposed to just full send all the time like other channels! I want this damn wheel so bad! (If it rides how I'm hoping) this wheel is the closest thing I've seen to a all around finished package from what u get out of the box! Motorcycle like headlight. Well placed trolly! Very simple maintenance! Super fun! And powerful! And above all, convenience! Way to go adam!

    Regarding the preload (spring) adjustment, the technique that me and others use is a long sturdy screwdriver and a hammer. Lots of "taps" on the ring will allow you to fully adjust the coil compression. Yes, it does scratch the adjustment ring but that won't detract from your already scratched up V14 🙂

    • @BunnyslippersEUC
      @BunnyslippersEUC Před měsícem

      It does have less range than the Patton. A friend has the V14, and he weighs around 60 kg. I am around 110 kg and my Patton has off-road 30% more battery than the V14. At 40 kmh and some off road, both wheels were at 50% battery.

    I really love the LeaperKim recent models, I think they are the top in the market, but I watched a couple of videos on how hard is to change their components or the tire, and I remember that you talked about the lack of smart BMS in their LeaperKim models also, Am I right?
    But this wheel have my attention, more because its easy way to change the pieces or clean it, I think you can avoid more maintenance, don't seem too big, and looks perfect for commuting, and the IP rating is crazy, if the price was a little bit lower would be the beast.
    I'm waiting for the entire internal review of this wheel, I hope the bearings and electronics will be as good as the performance.

    Fun video very nice. Yesterday where I'm at here In colorado I rode out 40miles round trip and found the cross wind really affected my ride. I learned to put my hands behind my back as I have seen you do in your videos and that really helps... but was trying changing my footing. As usual, top quality content. The kickstand on the Lynx is even more intrusive than the V14. I actually like the V14 charger because it is whisper quiet. What would be perfect is if it could switch between 3 and 6 amp charging with the fan working hard at 6 amps. Worth it over the Extreme? Yes.

    As someone who's been in involved w/ industries who's products require high output batteries,
    I've always commended InMotion for implementing as much battery safety as possible..
    I've been in the vaping industry for well over a decade and have seen my share of vents/explosions..
    [That's a big reason why I held off so long on E bords/bikes/unicycles]
    I grabbed a V13 last spring - and That ^^^ is why!
    Go figure, weeks later, they'd release the 14 w/ The Suspension That *I* Need..
    Offroading/Overlanding is demanding, and so far, the 14 looks like a Great [the Best?] option!

      @@boulate Yes I have it, but haven't had a chance to properly try it out yet. I'm abvout 150Kg so I actually exceed the rating a bit, but I spoke with Inmotion about it and they just said "don't accelerate too hard and it'll be fine". The suspension does carry me without bottoming out and with a reasonable amount to spare. I will not be jumping or anything fancy so again I think that will be OK. You're only about 115 Kg which is well within spec. As I said, I've just gone around a rotary washing line a couple of times holding on to the line for bal;ance. I have a week off next week and that's when I'll get to really try it for real.

The 850N traction force also means it wouldnt quite be able to push you up a 50deg hill; so I guess that 200Nm is to be taken as a fairly sustained output, rather than a 10s peak or so? Either way looks like a solid wheel.

      For my use case I prefer the v14. I'm using it for transportation around the farm so I am often riding through mud and with the v12 you couldn't wash it out, on the v14 mud can't get packed above the wheel like the v12. The knobby tire definitely vibrates more on road but I was amazed by it's traction in mud, it went places the v12 could only dream of. Also the suspension is really nice for rough terrain.

    I have just received my V14. You mentioned removing the rear stand. How serious were you in contemplating that? It's a solid piece of plastic and appears to be a supporting link. I'm putting mine on for now, though the packs do feel very solid and strong without it. I don't want to do anything that could compromise the integrity of the unit as a whole, so I'll defer for now.
    I would appreciate a follow-up from you on that comment.

      Actually, I just answered my own question because in the box there are bumper guards if you do not install the stand. Although they are two-piece bumper guards, I can't figure out where the second one goes. There is no instruction manual, but I've already put on the stand and I'm happy with it that way.

    This is the first inmotion wheel I would buy... I rode many and wondered why people bought them as the torgue was always meh... I like alot more than torque but this seems to have it. I prefer 20 inch for off-road and road so the lynx is very torquey and 20 inch so thats the reason I still havent bought an inmotion wheel. I am glad inmotion finally caught up and No the v13 was ideal for anything but road trips... Way to GO inmotion ... Now you need a proper competitor to the Lynx in a 20 inch Form Factor. Let the wheel go 55 mph too ;) (not that i go that fast but I like having the ability to)
    P.S> I do not like the sound when you land is that b/c something is lose or just the way all v14's sound... it is almost like you are bottoming out but I thought the progressive spring stops that.

      Battery life?

    • @better.better
      @better.better Před měsícem

      I think the general rule for all things is that it should max out at double the working load. for example you purchase a climbing rope that has a max capacity of double what you actually want to load it with (your weight plus whatever extra gear). that way if you fall, it shouldnt break when it reaches full extension and stretches out. for power and torque on a EUC, you can get away with a much smaller margin of error in terms of acceleration, but I think braking distance is the most important factor where this rule comes into play. Conversely that's probably the factor that's given the least attention in any of the EUC videos. going fast is great until you have to stop fast. cars pulling out in front of motorcycles and bicycles is one of the major reasons for accidents on them. A person on an EUC has a much smaller visual profile than either of them, and drivers will see a person shape, and instinctively think "walking," they're not going to be expecting a person to be walking at 90 kph/56mph, so their brain is going to dismiss the EUC as "not dangerous" and focus on looking for cars.
      I wonder if wearing a helmet that looks like a monster's head would prevent that 🤔?

    • @revolutionaries007
      @revolutionaries007 Před měsícem

      @@brightidea123 iF you are asking what the size of the battery is then it is a 2400watt hour battery pack. If you arent going fast then u get 45 -50 miles or 80 'ish km but much, much lower if you love accelerating.

    Hello. Tell me your weight and what pressure did you pump into this wheel?

    • @grb1969
      @grb1969 Před měsícem

      In addition to rider weight and tire pressure, there is a significant contribution from having ‘rebound dampening’ set to minimal resistance, in that is allows the wheel to react move quickly as retract swiftly when hitting an object or bonking a curb. And, for this to be comfortable, you’ll want to match your spring pre-load suspension sag to 10% height drop of the pedals when loaded versus unloaded. Your tire pressure should be similarly set to about 10% sag (tire-sidewall sag in this case) but no one does this. So instead, gauge your tire pressure by the perception of ride stability (instability) at speeds within 20% of your wheel’s top speed. Start with 38psi the reduce until you feel stable at a consistent high speed. As your muscle-memory becomes more familiar with your new wheel’s physical characteristics, you can increase the tire pressure slowly to increase agility without sacrificing stability.
      If you’re ready worried about damaging the rim, you’ll need a “Tubebliss” motocross inner-tube that allows for a dual pressure chamber (lower tire pressure near ground surface where maximum off-road contact is needed, and very high pressure (rim-liner adjacent) inner-tube which keeps the tire sidewalls in place and protects against loads that might cause damage to the rim.

    • @mr_wrongway
