This was great, I’m not a cast member but I really appreciate the perspective and insight you provided about respecting their discounts as something exclusive to them. Well done, and thanks for your work :)
Very interesting. I guess it sounds pretty reasonable/typical. Employee discounts are for the employee. Nice that you can bring guests 16 times. Very generous really. Good luck to you. Hopefully the job is magical for you!
Great information & very interesting, what you get makes the job worth doing, Just been able to get in anytime you want is an amazing perk, I used to work for the Disney store in the UK & all we got was discount on the Merchandise, Thanks for sharing, we are finding your vlogs so interesting 👍🤗🇬🇧🤩
That is very important to know. Because cast members should be given perks to enjoy all of their hard work. So these are special privileges which needs to be reinforced. Thanks for the update.
Love the idea of using the passes to donate to Make a Wish foundation if you so wanted to. I can imagine people coming out of the woodwork for passes and discounts
Just got hired here at Disney HQ in Burbank, CA, plan to go to WDW next week. do they scan your Blue ID or Main Gate for parking? or just show them the ID and then pass the gate? At DL, they scan them and have a printed cast parking pass to put on the dash.
I just got hired at Disneyland so I’m excited. I still need to go through Traditions for training. I can’t wait to tell people “no.” Those 16 passes are going to only close friends and family no neighbors or people from my past who aren’t my friends. But gonna get my ex of 5 years in sense we are cool. Haha! He’s super excited! Also can’t wait to get my mom, brother, his ex, nephew in lol! My brothers ex wife was just telling me it’s a big hassle to try and get reservations for her and her son. I start in early March and his Birthday is in April so it’s perfect timing. We are all really really excited. When I told her the news she was like “really? That’s so cool!” I’m happy! My mom is super excited to she’s gonna try and come down from Sacramento in April!
I'm so happy for you. Glad you are excited. Don't let that passion and magic die. Some days guests will be entitled and miserable. Just smile and remember where you are!
@@IncognitoMouse they’re just miserable that they can’t get into Disneyland for free. Lol! It’s like that with customers at times. I just don’t get how some could be so grumpy it’s Disneyland. I am hearing that most of the hotels don’t have the amenities due to Covid so it’s understandable is customers are complaining about that but still it’s Disneyland haha
So can you get me some information on Military Discounts. I have a VA ID card but I am not retired but I am a Veteran what is the policy on Veteran Discounts?
So it is not 365 days since there are blocked out now. We used to be able to just use our IDs like an AP. When you hit 10yrs it turns silver for unlimited trips 😊 Can you link a MagicBand?
So can I use my discount if I go to the parks with my boyfriend or sister and her two kids and get a discount on treats for them if they want a churro or food or some ears I mean I would be buying it
If you use your discount and you buy it with your own credit card (or cash) and give it to them, then that's fine. But if they give you money or card and a cast member sees it, them you could be in trouble.
I work at dca and I was smart about it I gave my CrossFit coach a ticket he lets me work out there free now I gave my mechanic 4 tickets and he fixed my car labor free, and I sold the rest of my passes to cover my butt for the shutdown
You get the guest passes for your dependants that you can use like 12 times per year (I forgot the actual number. I mentioned it in the video but I made this vudeo so long ago. But when you use one, you use all three.
But Icky.... I thought you were my 6th cousin in my grandmother's side, twice removed, you can't get my best friend's cousin tickets for their family of 10?? 🤣🤣🤣 That's good info. The week out FPs is kinda sucky though... If we're splitting hairs here. LoL
These perks are amazing and honestly a lot more than I could ever expect. Disney is very generous!

The parallels you make in your videos are VERY interesting. I'm inclined to delve into your library. Thank you for coming by.
Former CP here 👋🏾 thx for explaining this!
thx my guy ! im starting my new job on 1/5/22 at disney !!!
i have absolutely no idea how the pass and discounts work !
thanks 4 the info !!!
Awesome! Welcome to the cast!
Ty for sharing the great information and the Magic Kingdom day sledgehammered that like button and a enjoyed watch
You work hard for the perks you receive. Keyword there... YOU!

Bring as many times as you want versus bringing 16 per year is ridiculous not generous.
Great share. Lot of good points

Did you have a blue ID?
Incognito Mouse Our Passes were Yellow, as we are in the UK I don’t think we got any perks for WDW 🤔👍
Very interesting!! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you for stopping by!

This video was made before pandemic, but same rules still apply.
Thanks for the information. Very intresting
does the guest passes link to three specific people or could you switch the people after the 16 days are over ??
How does virtual queues work with guest passes?
Love the idea of using the passes to donate to Make a Wish foundation if you so wanted to. I can imagine people coming out of the woodwork for passes and discounts
I was thinking of donating them to Give Kids the World. I also applied to volunteer there.

Just show your blue ID

Tmi
That’s really neat they give y’all passes!
Yes one of the perks of working for the mouse!
say i pay for a seasson pass can i use that on someone
Did you get a new camera? Footage looks amazing.
Yes I did. We're in 4k now!
Interesting vid 👍
I wonder how do these cards work with buying genie+ now?
Good question. I don't know. I would guess I could buy genie+ at guest relations?
Love the new camera!

I will look into it.

After 3yrs your discount goes from 20% to 35%. Holiday season is 40%.
Yes you can link a magic band.
How about part time cast members, do they get half the days?
I'm not sure.
Part time cast members should also get the 16 days for their guests

Do spouses and children get in free or do they have to be part of that 16 pases?
They are part of the 16.

Did you have to accompany them when they went? Or they can go by themselves
Is this still in place with covid?
Yes everything is pretty much the same. Except now you have to make reservations.
Do you get passes for your dependents? I’ll be full time

@@IncognitoMouse ok I’ll be working in California adventure I don’t know if the perks are the same.
Can I use my blue ID to get into the parks by myself before the gold card comes in the mail?
Yes, you can use your blue cast ID to sign yourself in.
@@CesarGonzalez0981 is it just yourself tho? Or can I pass my husband and kids ?
This is very interesting. One of the bus drivers actually told us a little bit about this. Great info.
It's a dream come true

Working for Disney is the greatest.
