Can you try this build no kapa? *(well maybe a little kappa)
1) Black cleaver
2) BotRK
3) Phantom Dancer
4) youmuu's ghostblade
5) mercurial scimitar
6) Boots of swiftness/mercury treads (Depending on whether or not opponents have a lot of hard CC)
Explanation: Kleds kits and strengths are all balanced, not around him just being a sudo-tank, but his passive that allows you to dive confidently (Bravely) and remount for a large chunk of health. There are 2 main ways this is accomplished
#1 Using His Q mostly and getting items with cooldown like Black cleaver to keep firing it off
#2 Using auto attacks with enough attack speed to remount or using only your W passive.
With 10% CDR runes this build accomplishes BOTH.
How to use the build
B/C is a staple on many top lane sudo tanks that rely on CDR. This is no different in this Kled build and should be your first item. This should also be enough. Early armor reduction to last you till mid game.
The next 2 items are what make this build special.
BorK and Phantom dancer give you the tools to always make sure you remount in a 1v1. P/D's Spectral waltz and BorK's speed steal make sure you can gap close anything you can see (or run if you are a coward :wink: ) The life steal from bork keeps you sustained while dismounted (which is highly important) as well as its active and Lament from P/D makes it hard for them to finish you off.
You also get that juicy 8% on hit from BorK against top lane tanks that synergises well with your W (Passive % damage). However the MOST important thing these give you are the attack speed. This will stack fervor and B/C quickly and most importantly get you back on the horse..chicken...lizard...thing...(Drackalops).
These 2 items are all you need to finish off your laning and dueling phase. The next 2 items are what I use for end game and team fights.
Youmuu's Increases that stickiness to be able to chase and=y champ like their ADC and other squishies and Gives you the Lethality beyond B/C's reduction to scale into end game against all other champs and finishes off your CDR.
Merc Scimitar is last because by end game you will need another dose of life steal to stay alive in a 5v5 and most importantly you can't remount if you cant fight and you cant fight if your CCed. This item fixes that.
If any of these 5 items are not needed at all (Merc Scimitar for example) feel free to try deadman's plate.
Boots of swiftness are usally the go-to for kled because of his speed reduction when dismounted and running (and the crazy increase when attacking!) but merc treads is also a good idea if they have 3 or more champs with hard CC and not just slows.
That's my Reliable BotRK/Attackspeed Kled build!
Needed runes are 10% CDR and armor if you want it. After that go wild with AS/AD, lethality or whta ever you like.
Masteries are up to you but I run with: all left side ferocity (except battle trace) with fervor and Cunning tree with the first 2
right then left then right again.
