Its really quite sad.
I blame brad for it, it isn't true to the way Bell sr wrote Stephanie. Under Brad she has become a shadow of the great character she once were, but still she is the most interesting character the show ever had. Brad doesn't know how to write anything and he doesn't know how to write a character like Stephanie or Sheila. That is the sad truth. So we get half baked sls with no plots, points and Interaction between characters. It's all flat and like we watch different Shows in one.
It's bad writing (jrs Thorne's murder case) vs good writing (sr Thorne's attemped murder case). We long have left the good writing.
I love how Steph called the courthouse to get the judgement 😂
If they had WhatsApp back then, I'm sure she'd WhatsApp call the judge himself 😂😂

@@NewYorkNick0607 they keep calling his basement office and the calls keep getting forwarded to Trish, who answers with the rehearsed reply that Thorne is unavailable at the moment, and Steph just goes "okay, just leave a message to him that the lace and organza emergency is solved, and that Ridge is still married to Taylor."
Well at least _one_ thing's back to normal: Taylor being passive and analytical while Stephanie urges her to act, follow her heart, and not underestimate Brooke. They slipped right back into their old dynamic like a glove. Or is it more like a hand puppet (with Stephanie as the hand)?

I wrote something about their relationship recalling the old times. But, except for some exceptions, like the last one in the pool as a swimming teacher, Taylor used to behave in her own way even after her talks with Stephanie. And I like when Stephanie goes mad at her because she gives too much space to Brooke.

@@Esi-741I'd like to think there is more in their dynamic. She cares, and the fact that Taylor prevented Ridge from choosing Brooke, because he loved Taylor of course, would make Stephanie happy. But talking about puppet demeans Taylor's role in Ridge's life. As I said, Stephanie warned her during their first marriage but Taylor kept behaving in her own way.
The next sick Triangle coming around: Maggie, Dylon, Jessica...and on the backside to make it more insane.... crazy Sly..

The worst part of it is, once Ridge has made his decision and Anthony's storyline is over, the Maggie/Dylan/Jessica triangle will be virtually the _only_ storyline going on.

I think Trish meant in the 90s when Bill Bell was still running Y&R and in that case, Nikki and Victoria fighting over Cole is the only one I can recall. That kind of family grossness wasn't a regular thing on Y&R like it was on B&B. 🤢

It just seems like the writers did more of that gross family dynamic on BB, and in some cases tried to make it as the most normal thing in the world. 😕
I will say that the weirdest family triangle on YR was much later when Victor married Sharon - his son's ex wife. That to me was gross and I'm glad they brought that to an end sooner rather than later. But otherwise I'd never seen him show any romantic interest in any of his son's women, much unlike Eric...
Interesting that Dylan has a woman over and doesn't even know her last name or her background.
Taylor once again showing more compassion and concern for Brooke than Brooke would ever show for her.

As she should - I like Taylor much better when she is the bigger person and rises above the rivalry with Brooke.
I love how Taylor ( who is being truly herself) is so analytical about her situation while Stephanie( who knows how Taylor thinks, as she said )warnes her about the competition. It looks like good old times.

@Nick and @Annie, I was thinking about Taylor as always the winner when she stay true to herself and keeps her dignity. Annie talked ab.out Taylor's dignity all along the post Moroccan storyline. The forthcoming storyline is probably the last one I love about Taylor's character mainly for that reason, if we put aside that awfully attempt to pair her with 🤢ric, even if moral victories would not coincide with Ridge's love. As we know, after HT return Taylor will be used as Ridge's wife only. In the late 90's all the characters will lose their true selves completely, except 🤢ric!

Taylor needed to get her thoughts across and I'm so glad she did it with Stephanie. It's not the same with Jack and James. Today's scene felt like old times ❤

Finally Dylan is having a romantic dinner with a woman. I can't recall him and Jessica having something "romantic" other than the silly drama they were involved in.
I am just not feeling romance in this mother - daughter - same man drama. Feels pretty ick to me.
And I'm also not feeling it, given a year ago Dylan was literally climbing thru Steph's window and willing to go to jail, such was his "love" for Jessica. That drama was so unnecessary as it seems all Dylan had to do was just go out to a club and meet other women when he couldn't see Jessica. 🙄

Might have been better if they had Jessica's sister (the other one Maggie has now abandoned) come to town and be the new mystery woman in Dylan's life. Something about these mother/daughter romances just feels off to me.

I would say what a cliffhanger if the Maggie/Jessica/Dylan triangle involved characters people actually were invested in. As it stands, this storyline is too new and half baked to create any suspense or interest.
Agree. That was one of the most boring cliffhangers. I wasn't invested in Dylan and Jessica's relationship when they first started and I'm certainly not invested now

Yes! As it is, I have zero investment in this triangle. Neither pairing is really worth rooting for, the mother/daughter relationship is underdeveloped, and both mother and daughter are poorly developed as characters. Then there's the fact that we now know that this storyline will never actually culminate _at all._
A week or so from now, it will get even worse. By then the show will have the brilliant idea to cut away from the extremely high stakes scenes with Sally and Macy, just to let us watch these pointless scenes about the vastly inferior mother/daughter pairing of Jessica and Maggie.
Stephanie is mental! And so much for Taylor and James being so great head shrinkers, Stephanie would be diagnosed and heavily medicated by any other Psychiatrist !!

Maggie says cooking is the only thing she is good at. Well I can think of another thing my wife Barbara is good at and that is taking off bikinis just like she did with my wife Kathleen Kinmont in Fraternity Vacation,
Maggie hums during dinner, realised she was doing it and somewhat embarrassed by it. Well it is a gift to spend time with my wife Barbara and she can hums all she likes as far as I am concerned.
Dylan says that Michael likes Maggie.
I share the same skin colour with Michael and I like my wife Barbara a lot more and in a very different way.
Quite a lovely song that Dylan and Maggie danced to and that should have been me dancing with my wife Barbara.
