    Thank You for the download! And Thank You for the PEP TALK!! You are so right.... instead of whining about not enough time in the day to sew I will (from now on) schedule it into my day!
    I have that Cookbook..... now if I can just find it...!!

      LOL, I know what you mean about the cookbook, I've got to find mine, it's $11 on Amazon, so I might just order another, and then gift that one to a friend IF I find my old one. And YES!! lets get some sewing done. Together!

    I'm a night owl. Always did the laundry after the children went to bed. For many years sewed until 4am , especially if it was a customer job , afternoon too. I've just started journals. Found a creative outlet when I was unable to use the machine due to a leg injury. Sitting in bed with a heap of scrapbooking supplies and glue stick was THE total answer! Have continued since. It is so nice to look back and see all the things I have made. Its surprising how much and I tend to make things that I make up as I go along. To have it all documented is a bonus. My new interest is bags. Never been a patchworker , oblong and squares really sent me into overdrive. Yes you have to schedule sewing time otherwise it never happens. Stay safe, Take care.

      I had to laugh at your comment about not being a patchworker and it sending you into overdrive, so funny. I'm sorta on the same page with you. Nice to chat with a kindred spirit (with the same name too - my big brother calls me Suzi) Happy Stitching

    I'm Zoom sewing once a week with a friend....we start before Christmas and has been a blessing🙏🏻
    We chat a lot (a lot) and we are thinking to also Zoom embroider together
    ...is a good way to stay in touch and motivate each other.
    Love your channel and your energy. Stay safe.

      Lory!!! This is amazing to hear this. Thanks so much for sharing your story. Yes, embroider together is a great idea, though the machines will be loud, lol. But if you do, take a photo and share with me on social media. Happy stitching

    I am basically nocturnal. I sleep from about 5:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. every single day. Back when my children were young my most creative times were in the middle of the night when I had some uninterrupted time. I frequently feel as if I am haunting my own house lol. Now my kids are grown and that's not the issue. The biggest thing from me now is that I have taken over a bedroom as my sewing space and I can just leave things as they are and hop in and sew at a moment's notice and close the door when I'm done. not having to set up makes me have a lot more time to sew as I can take advantage of small blocks of time. Great video. I love all your tips. I can't wait to download your sheets. I have a makers planner that I got in a subscription box but was disappointed that it is totally geared to quilters. I guess I'll use that one just for quilts and your pages for everything else. Do people really limit themselves to one type of sewing? They are really missing out.

    • @SookieSews
      @SookieSews  Před 3 lety

      Most calendars or organizers are for quilters, but this one is just to get you started and help organize individual projects. I'm using it right now to sort out a new project :) I totally agree with you on limiting oneself, there are so many cool creative things we can do.

    I like to make a big batch of one of our favorite meals! Chicken pot pie, chicken and dumplings, ham & potato soup, Lil Cheddar Meatloaves to name a few. Thank goodness we like leftovers! Gives me time to do other things, like sewing and embroidering

      I think spontaneous is something I could be more, in my work and personal life. I'm such a planner and I know I could learn a great deal about myself if I could try that. Joey is always telling me to be more spontaneous, lol. Thanks for popping.

      What a GREAT idea! Do you have the same satisfaction for crossing something off your list on the white board as you do with a pencil? I might get a white board for brainstorming...thanks again. Good to see you here :)
