When the girl I believe named Melanie broke the 4th wall and spoke straight to the camera I felt so unease
I saw La Chimera today and I loved it too! I love Alice Rohrwacher. I think she is one of the best filmmakers working today. Her films have an inspiring uplift to them using magical realism. La Chimera being no exception. I see this film as a commentary are the art vs. commerce debate in the film industry as well.

I saw this film yesterday and it's fantastic. I think anyone who loves to think about myths and how thoughts of death weigh on the living (or not), and who love 1970s-80s European cinema, will enjoy this film too. Now I can't wait to watch more films by Rohrwacher!

Excuse me, do you know which Italian cinema films it refers to? Specific films by Rosellini, Fellini, Antonioni, Pasolini, Visconti; Which would be?
Have not seen it...yet. But I promised myself to watch every movie or series with Josh o' Connor in it. I find him a fascinating actor. Movie sounds real good, so thank you for this, when it is in my country's theaters I will most definitely see it!

I have an inkling to see this but I saw the director’s other film “Happy as Lazzaro” and was really not a fan. I may give this one a watch only because the reviews have been so great.
