⚠️Make sure to use a magnifier or reading glasses. Even 2 power glasses will help with the micro moves - and keep your hands free.⚠️
Hard sight .75 accuracy up to 15 yards is a real 880 standard - without the complications of a scope.

Cheap scopes and point sights can have optical errors. Your hard sights will be free of those problems.

UPDATE: After shooting at three dimensional targets, I did move the elevator down to the FIRST NOTCH.
JSB 8.4 Domes were over shooting, by a degree, that I couldn't tolerate in the field. Now spot on hitting bottle caps and small plastic bottles.

was just gifted one for Christmas. was shooting at about 10 yards.pellets were not hitting where I was aiming. did this and now first shot hit the mark! your videos saved me twice! Happy holidays!
This is so interesting. I've owned 880's since about 1977 and never paid any attention to the markings on the sight. Well actually my first 880 didn't have that type of rear sight anyway. It had two screws mounted out in front of the sight, just like a crosman 2100 does. But yeah, the markings of the later 880's sight, I had seen those little lines, but never tried to use them! Now I will!
Give it a go! Put on decent reading glasses and watch your lateral marks!
3 out of 4 of my 880s have only hard sights. Works great!
@@daisy880fanaticfixit9 oh yeah I’m going to try it out on the 880. I would also try it on the model 35 but it was already set perfectly from the factory so I’ve never touched it!
Great video on the hard sights of the 880 and 35. I have taken a lot of squirrels with my 880 at around 15-20 yards with the hard sights and most were headshots. I had a few that turned and hit them in the neck still a kill shot. My 880 loves H&N field sport trophy pellets.
Alfred, you proved my point in the field. Nothing better!
There's a thing I've been wanting to say I love the Daisy 880s and have modded several of them and we all know about the trigger mods the barrel stabilization the different things thats out there but there's one thing that I find bewildering that nobody mentions and that's the strengthening of the chassis or the unibody construction of the 880 without doing anything else if I go through and Shore up I glue together certain pieces of the frame and I just try to get rigidity all the way through and it's amazing what it'll do for accuracy because it is a Pumper and it is a unibody construction so it's going to wobble and wiggle through the pumping action but when you shore it up and stabilize it a little here and there to take and make it rigid it's really an incredible gun at that point and that's without any other mods

Guilty of eyeballing the screw slot since, all my life. Just noticed there were windage marks today after watching your video. I know they are supposed to be the same but I think the 880's rail is slightly less flexible than the 35 and therefore prone to better optic accuracy.
I trust you on 35 rail. Never tried glass on smoothbore as older guy.
I could take it or leave it with scope on smoothbore Crosman during the 1980s.
I like the hard sights and it’s all I shoot. But want to finally test out a scope on mine. What’s best budget scope for 880?
Alex, UTG was great value. Not so much any more. But I'm still loyal to the brand.
Too cheap of optics is worse than hard sights! I've been down that road.
new 880 fan but I have a ? how many shots (ave. 5 pumps) will it last before it needs resealed on a well taken care of gun.
Thanks Tom
Tom, it really is relative to the
Individual 880.
If it is new, and you haven't sprayed penetrators inside, you used 5000 cst silicone or 10 to 30 weight ND oil, it could go 5,000 shots or more.
My 22x came with faulty seals, and it didn't even make it through one pellet tin.
My 77xs had some rough work from the factory. It had beat up O - Rings and a red grime plugging up my chamber seal. The gun worked, just not well. Now it works great after cleaning it up - new rings and a cleaned out chamber seal.
As a video subject, can you do the Daisy 717, 747 and or the 777, or atleast cover how to identify or disassemble the differences?
Richard, hope all is well!
This looks like a fine group of Daisy pistols. They should bring them back.
The channel below DOES have one and is likely to honor your request. Ask him.

@@daisy880fanaticfixit9 I know that you are all things Daisy poc, I am also subscribed to his channel too. Between both channels, you are both doing a great serve, thank you.
I had never seen a daisy 880 sight from this close! (Oh canada)
It looks even more annoying to "get right" than a 1377/1322 sight 😁
_[But atleast you can adjust it!]_
Lowkey, you brought up Crosman, so I will jump rhrough that door.
There are NO MARKINGS near the screws, windage or elevation, on my 1322. I am happy with the peep Ight accuracy from that Crosman. It took some time.
But we have a friendly disagreement. The Daisy windage marks do help. The click elevation, which Crosman long guns also have, is effective. The Daisy elevator is FINER, and the Daisy system is more helpful.
On many Crosmans, the windage is moving the ENTIRE SIGHT side to side.
@@daisy880fanaticfixit9 I believe my 1377 had some tiny marks for windage but nothing for elevation!
The hard part is not to mess up your adjustments while you screw it back on...
But for the price they sell those things in the USA having adjustable sights is fair enough haha
You are right. They are in front. But far distant from the windage screw. They aren't bad - line to line.
I didn't use them, but would now! No elevation help. Your eyes would have to be fixed forward on the lines as you turn the driver. Thumb down on the sight body.
What is your favorite pellet grain/brand for 880? (Winchester/Daisy/Crosman/JSB//RSW/etc.)
Alex, #1 Choice - Field Trophy Power
#2 JSB Dome 8.4

@@daisy880fanaticfixit9 thanks ordering them
Tel me the 35 end the 880 is ther a difference between them looks like the parts is the same
The parts are HIGHLY interchangeable.
The 35 stock
Loading rod
Trigger parts
Chamber seal
VB O ring
Pump head O ring
Valve
It has a shorter barrel and no rifling. So the 880 does out class it starting at 15 yards.
