They are durable for any condition and a smart one will continue to amaze you as you work them. They never stop learning.
I would love it if you would allow your videos to be captioned. People that are hard of hearing/deaf love horses, too!
The title: 8 things you did not know about Quarter horses. Me: I already know 😂
I’m getting one soon! He is so cute. Cant wait. I might name him Rusty or Firestar
Lucky I really want one as a begginer
I have joint custody of my two lease horses and they are American quarter horse and ones named red and virgil and they are in the process of being broken in riding because they are use to be roaming in a pasture they are trained for herding anmails and farm work trail rides and know how to open up gates took them on a three mile trail ride today and he got scared bye something and almost bucked me off which he never does but I wish you good luck
Sadly the people who were gonna let us keep him on their land died from covid ):
My riding qh with English saddle
I have a soft spot for quarters ridden in English
Americas 1st Breed was the MORGAN HORSE! One of the most versital horses breeds whereas Quarter Horses had limited uses.
Explain why they have limited uses, they can be used to so many things yes Morgan’s are amazing but I do believe that qhs are the most versatile horse they are used for so many things, just like the video said
@@mae8186 They are pretty much limited to quarter mile racing and ranch work. Some of the popular blood lines have genetic defects.
@@markwarnberg9504 I’m not hating but they explained in the video that they are used for so many things, at a full gallop they limited to a quarter mile but any other gate they’ll be fine going longer
@@mae8186 They are 3-Gated horses. Walk - Trott - Run. Quarters are good riding horses as long as you stay away from certain blood lines.
@@markwarnberg9504 yes ik their 3-gated horses. I beg of your pardon?! In the results of your outrageous be half, you left me enraged! Does that have to do with anything
It's unkind to try to force traditionally built QHs into a chess-piece dressage frame. They are not built for it, are uncomfortable, and don't need that technique to move the weight onto the hind end.
I hope you know quarter corsets race to after thoroughbreds and thoroughbreds created the quarter horse I just was wondering if you knew that
They said that in the cideo
Judge Uncle Old Crow
first 😊
A gew of those had a Thoroughbred head. Not good
Why not
Sorry but I plan it horses are the only reason Iceland and Icelandic countries yeah sorry there's also the Icelandic pony who is similar to the Icelandic course and then there's also those other horses too let's see you know the I think they rang from Asia but they use them also in the Icelandic country because of the thick coat they get yeah a person do all your research because you just insulted the quarter horse
Huh? How the heck did she insult the Quarter Horse?!?! All she did was mention at the end another video she must have made. That doesn't "insult" the QH.
I think you need to do your research. The Icelandic horse is the SAME THING as the Icelandic pony. The breed is often pony sized, but it is registered as, and referred to as, a horse. And as the narrator said, the Icelandic horse is the ONLY horse allowed in Iceland. Iceland banned more than 1000 years ago the importation of any other horse breeds. While the Icelandic horse is related genetically to the Mongolian horse -- and to British pony breeds -- it is a separate, pure breed in its own right, and is uniquely 5-gaited.
Actually best breed ever = Arabian horse...
Its not
Nope. It's Turkoman or Akhal Teke
Yall do know the "best horse" thing is an opinion. They are all good for specific things, they were all bred for certain discipline. Stop saying one is better because of opinion based on emotion, just admit you prefer one because it's your favorite.
No far from it
A real dingaling in temperament, great at endurance but surpassed by other breeds in most endeavors.
