The first girl had wavy hair. I know from cutting my 3 year old's hair thay wavy hair is extremely forgiving. The waves hide blunt ends and the odd shelves.
My hair is wavy and curly on the back and I cut my hair and Its forgiving like a cloud.
Same with coily hair.....the number of times I've butchered my hair and it turned out okay, is unbelievable.

I really love how Brad starts almost every video by saying we're beautiful/gorgeous. It really makes me feel much better about myself.
The DIY method definitely works better with thick wavy hair that can hide imperfections. Never do it with naturally straight hair LOL
or shorter hair. like shoulder length or less. cause if you do mess it up you have little to work with to fix it. but if your hair is longer you can always do ponytails, buns etc until you can get to a pro

my hair is long, thick, and wavy/curly and I have been using the first method for a couple years now. it looks better with longer layers and the curls look bomb
Unicorn cut worked for my 3a hair, but i just wanted rid of my ends so didn't cut as high. No idea what it looks like straightened but it works for me

I’ve done a diy haircut very similar to this one and let me just say, if you have curly hair like I do definitely go for it😂 “mistakes are not noticeable with curls!🥳
Helps that she had dark wavy hair, little more forgiving than the straight blonde hair of the mannequin
She also only gets away with it because she has a nice face. And chopping your hair with a knife was really for the views. I can't believe if someone decides to cut their hair they can't get scissors.

The woman who has cut my hair perfectly for two years did that bang cut on me two weeks ago. She literally parted off a triangle in the front and cut straight across, leaving me with bangs that go to the sides of my head! It looks like a bad mullet. Also took out some side hair so I don’t have much left. She was sick and may have been high on cough medicine but I walked out and cried in my car. I’ve had soft layering around my face and long, side swept bangs for years and she just chopped them off and then didn’t do any layers around my face after cutting two inches off the length. It looked like I had two different hair cuts. I couldn’t get in anywhere to get it fixed before my relatives came for the 4th of July reunion so I had to style it somehow to cover up the mess. Went to another salon today and had some fringe layering in what’s left of my side hair and had the heavy bangs thinned and blended in and it’s livable till it grows out. Fortunately my hair grows fast but omg, people, do not ever cut your bangs like this. It’s a disaster.
