Hoi4 BEST Iceland Achievement Guide For Cod Wars AND Vinland

- Hey everyone, in today's video I'm going to show you how to get both the Cod Wars and Vinland achievements in Hearts of Iron 4 as Iceland. I do want to note that this guide will only work for the Arms Against Tyranny DLC and a couple of events will be luck based and this guide is heavily skill based as well. The main gist of this achievement guide is that you will first break free from Denmark and make an independent Iceland then you will conquer the Netherlands and use their navy to conquer the UK. Then you will take the navy of some of the Allied nations and use it to naval invade Newfoundland. This Hoi4 video was quite a pain to make since I made my strategy from scratch so if you enjoyed it I would appreciate even something as small as a like!

Thanks, got it on my 2nd attempt. Had to abort the 1st one simply because neither Norway nor Denmark nor Britain wanted to give me any of the North Sea passage islands and then on the 2nd one I got all three. Made a mistake with my Dutch navy and had to try taking Newcastle with just one submarine, which after justifying on Yugoslavia (not even declaring) worked miraculously and then I took the British mainland before the US could take posession of Newfoundland. Also invaded from the Shetland Islands instead of Wilhelmshaven.

Why make a new template instead of just duplicating the starting infantry template? All you have to do is remove the recon company for 10 xp.

On my 8th try my Marines got annilatted on the beaches. ALL were wiped out. Guess I should have trained up another 12 Infantry divisions to help. On my next attempt UK joined the Netherlands immediately at start of war so that will be a bust. Gonna try again and hope for the best.
It's possible that this strategy doesn't work 100% since they usually do a patch after releasing DLC. If you keep the world tension you've created under 10% you shouldn't have too many problems with guarantees.
@@Noto Fifteen tries and I give up. I think it's broke. Did do a separate game and got Vinland achievement so that's a go at least.

How do you not get convoy raided when invading the Netherlands?
I made sure the Dutch navy wasn't in the area before activating the naval invasion. For whatever reason they rarely ever put their full navy in the surrounding seas.
