You can totally get the Legendary Sorceries with Thalia's Lancers. The card reads "legendary card".

Through sheer power of personality, you've both managed to maintain this channel despite the seemingly devastating proclamation that Sylvan Library is an over-rated card. Despite that absurdity, I'm still here, I'm still liking and I'm still viewing the NPN.
Nylea's Intervention is fantastic in a Borborygmos deck. Fill your hand with lands and then throw them at everyone lol
Gravebreaker Lamia and Corpse Connoisseur are also both really high priority because they are creatures, and in monoblack reanimator, it means you can indefinitely refill your graveyard
I would imagine this to be the hardest or harder one at least, but y'all still pull through a solid and informative 30 minutes. Big thanks from us all :)
I also want to point out Signal the Clans in Gruul colors. It's random, but well worth it if you find 3 creatures that do similar things, or in Xenagos, just grab any 3 big baddies that will kill someone and it doesn't matter which one you get.

A card that i've never heard talked about is Vile Entomber, and I think its pretty underrated. 2BB for entomb on a very flickerable body
Of all the mtg guide channels I find this one the most helpful and fun
You can use Parallel Thoughts to avoid cards that penalize you for drawing as well, or to not lose to a mill deck (can't "not draw" a card; can't lose your seven best cards to mill). You setup your win combo with a bunch of draw cards, so if you don't get a combo piece, you get a card that gets your combo pieces. It is one of my personal fave sleeper cards. I'm a tad saddened to see attention drawn to it lol.
You can also choose to draw from the pile even if it is empty to skip your draw step

If you have Teferi (the creature), you can tutor for any creature in your library, because Tef GIVES those cards Flash.

Parallel Thoughts is actually really cool if you use it more as a resource storage enchantment than "ill tutor my 7 best cards". If you put your 7 best cards in it its going to be a priority to destroy because now youve exiled your 7 best cards, and chances are your 7 best cards dont all do similar things so when you need one specifically you have a chance of getting any of the 7.
However, if you put say 7 removal spells under it, then whenever you need removal you can guarantee youll draw it. Or put 7 "board wipe recovery" cards under it and never fear a boardwipe again. All the powers of Yugi Moto for 3UU!
You can also put 7 lands under it to guarantee you draw one when you need one and make it much less likely you do when you dont. Probably not its best use, but its there.
Entomb + regrowth?? Anyways love the mythos cycle, completely underrated and they have sick art

A pretty niche tutor that I love for my first sliver deck is "bring to light". It is 3(u)(g) and basically says you can tutor for an instant, sorcery, or creature with cmc < or = to the number or colors used to cast it, exile that card and cast it for free. Basically acts as another copy of any sliver I own (for the same or a little more mana as the actual card) and it triggers cascade since the card is cast. Literally better than a demonic tutor by 2 mana if I am trying to get one of the wubrg slivers into play and basically breaks even on any 3 mana sliver (like harmonic sliver). Also only .25¢

parallel thoughts is one of my favorite budget blue win cons it plays out like a bad doomsday but its really fun.
I like that a nice chunk of these tutors have bodies that can be blinked....
Most sentient races have had classes for a long time now, already, with regards to Coveted Prize. That part is nothing new, and didn't start with this Zendikar set (as seemingly framed as a claim at 10:20). However, for the next year until the DnD set (and possibly past it until it rotates out), I think we'll be seeing a lot more Clerics, Rogues, Warriors and Wizards than average.
Parallel Thoughts is one of my favorite weirdo cards for my Golos deck. Use it to tutor up everything that orders the top of your library - Lim Dul's Vault, Brainstorm, etc. - then have a way to customize Golos' ability every turn. Obviously not fool proof, but can be quite amusing when it works!

I really like parallel thoughts. You just gotta be careful because if it get removed you cant acces the cards anymore.
In/against a wheel-deck it would be almost broken. If you've a black commander, insidious dreams does the same trick.

I used have Muddle the mixture in a mill deck to search for Glimpse of the Unthinkable.
Fierce empathy is in werewolves! Sometimes it searches for vigor, for chain reaction combos!
I use parallel thoughts in my BW control deck to pile my best counter cards together and then I always have access too 1-2 counter cards in my hand guaranteed. Helps keep the enchantment safe as well.
Gravebreaker Lamia lets you get any CARD not just creatures, so it's good in like a flashback/Kess deck as well. It's a pet card of mine. It's really good in Muldrotha, specifically because it is both a creature AND an enchantment, so you can cast it as your enchantment from your yard that turn, tutor for a creature, then cast that. Also, ETB double with Yarok. It's baller.

If anyone wants a cheap red tutor for budget. I would include Flamekin Harbinger for either malignus, hateflayer, or the two drop elemental that prevents life gain.
For Wishclaw Talisman : Ability on stack, eat it with Ironworks, and recycle it with stuff like Scrap Trawler or Myr Retreiver.👌 I run it in Ich & Keskit and my opponents never see it lol
Coveted prize in my Marchesa, the Black Rose deck. Marchesa is a Wizard and I have a bunch of other Wizard synergies in that deck.

Something you didn't touch on with Parallel Thoughts is that when you replace a draw effect you can negate milling. Cause you replace the draw and even if there is nothing to draw under Parallel Thoughts you just complete as much of the action as you can. So you can't loose due to milling and can negate milling if the wording is right on cards like this.
Uncage the menagerie can find Caustic Caterpillar, dragonmaster outcast or diligent farmhand. - Kresh the bloodbraided: I just love to sac things over and over with dictate of erebos out
Multimodal spells get big bonuses, transmute cards are great
Love trinket mage. Gets 1 or less. Perfect for getting moxes and sol ring. Tribute mage is good for getting greaves

Parallel Thoughts is great for janky combos, the require a lot of pieces. Having extra card draw is important with this card.

@@Funder1Nk It'd be different if it wasn't a black card, but black just has more options now that are better that Diabolic Tutor on a budget. Let's say Diabolic Tutor was a Red card; it'd be $10 because red really only has Gamble, Imperial Recruiter, and the 8 mana Minotaur Tutor from Jumpstart.
Even if it weren’t black. 4 mana tutors are not good. Look at idyllic tutor. It’s 3 mana and it sucks. Hell even beseech the queen doesn’t see play.
I run parallel thoughts in golos so I don’t accidentally pop a cyclonic rift or something into exile at the wrong time

Favorite new tutor: Bring to Light
How many colors is your deck running? More/equal to the CMC of your wincons? Is that card you need a creature, instant, or sorcery? Put Bring to Light in the deck.
Probably my favorite toolbox card in EDH. I play it in a few decks right now, including Karametra "Partner Tribal" which plays a lot of the "Partner With (X)" cards.
my only issue with recommending crop rotation to budget players is that there is no budget land worth getting with crop rotation. Crop Rotation is for getting stuff like dark depths, cabal coffers, nykthos, gaea's cradle, etc, none of which budget players use
Bajuka bog is a relevant crop rot target, and it’s $1 or less.
I would say we disagree, crop rotation has more than one use and can be good at hitting landfall, fixing, upping your land count in graveyard, or getting marginal value with something like Bojuka Bog

Something that wasn't brought up about the mages is that usually all the good stuff in your deck is already that CMC and being able to flicker them is great value.
Trinket Mage can also just grab an artifact land like Great Furnace or Darksteel Citadel if you just want more artifacts in play or need something you can sac for "free." I've definitely used Trinket Mage just to fix my mana before.

you should through in dreadhorde invasion in a budget bomb list thing idk what it would be under token generator or enchantments its basically a bitterblossom but for 94 cents which is crazy to me beause bitterblossom is 50+ dollars

Secondly, parallel thoughts is a terrible recommendation bc if someone bounces, blinks or removes it then you just lost your 7 best cards.
Also any “tutor” that says reveal the card defeats the purpose in my opinion.
One really good gy tutor I can think of is ‘vile entomber’.
Next is a tribal tutor effect called pyre of heroes.
Lastly, a few honorable mentions. There are not less than $1 but all are less than $4 I believe.

Yeah but for all the budget players Out there: I think investing in a demonic tutor is still a great investment.. i know it isn't cheap but I don't think this card will loos value any time soon. And beeing able to tutor on turn two sometimes / tutor and then play the thing for just two mana more is suuper nice.

Aw, there are a few decent red tutors. Goblin Matron and Hoarding Dragon are pretty good, and dragonstorm is... funny. Sarkhan's triumph is only BARELY over a dollar.

It's just a little too specific for what we're going for, we tried to keep it to searching for a specific card type rather than creature type because that opens you up to a lot more cards that most people wouldn't find very helpful
