Your timing is perfect. This is the system I am looking at. I have an F 350 and a 28’ TT. So not having another display on the dash is a big plus. And Haloview is a quality system. The key is to frugal and not cheap. Good job Bill!
Does the camera also show and save the speed that your traveling in case of a problem should one need it (let’s say to prove you weren’t speeding during an accident)?
I researched your question and can't find anything that sufficiently answer your question. All I can find is that the G-Sensor saves that particular video clip so it can't be looped recorded over. I'll keep researching.
There are only 2 wires. One wire comes from the smart box receiver to the mirror monitor. The other wire is for the GPS receiver. I had to do some extra wiring but that was simply due to my setup and also the fact that I do not have any cigarette lighter ports on my dash. I once had 2 cigarette lighter ports on the dash but we converted them to usb ports since we don't smoke and we needed the usb ports to charge phones and cameras. I can see how this might be confusing to some.

Got haloview camera set for 5th wheel in 2020. We love it. Not as many feachers

This system has was too many wires and boxes and is a complete mess. I would never purchase this unit.

Well. There's also the power connection for the rear camera, but that would be true of any wireless backup camera from most any company.
