First Impressions: Fjallraven Kånken Totepack No. 1

- Hello again,
This is a rather short video giving you a first impression of the Fjallraven Totepack No. 1. As I mentioned in the video, I purchased two convertible backpacks, and I'm currently waiting for the second one to arrive. I'm hoping that one will be more appropriate for work. This one is on the more casual side but will come in handy for everyday use or for travel. I'm not going out much at the moment, but once I can, this one will be good for traveling. I already like this design much better than the Kanken. I did purchase a standard and mini Doughnut backpack, which are similar in style to the Kanken, but I like how lightweight this one is and, more importantly, the fact that it can convert into a tote bag. There were a few convertible backpacks on Amazon, but their designs didn't exactly meet all of my needs. I also still enjoy using my Madewell tote, I love how it is aging, and it is just a nice classic tote. What kind of bags do you prefer to use? Totes, backpacks, belt purses, or clutches? They all serve a particular situation/occasion, no?

Grateful to tears for this fabulous one minute video. I've wasted an hour and a half on CZcams trying to get a good idea of how this bag really looks when worn. Yours was all I needed. Trying to decide between the Totepack No. 1 and the Totepack No. 1 Small. I think I'm going with the small for its overall shorter length.

You're welcome! What color are you planning on getting? I also liked the Ochre color or the tealish looking one. XD I do love my earth tones though and Olive ended up winning out. As per usual.
@@InsideKimmysMind the color you've chosen is beautiful! 🙂 It is one of my options together with the navy and that sort of teal too. I need to figure out which one looks best with my two coats, since I would probably use it during the cold seasons when going to uni.
I have this exact same backpack but in black!! I wish I went for another colour but the black goes well with everything so I don't regret! Your olive bag looks soooo nice though!! I've had mine for over a year now and I use it as my everyday uni backpack. It's sooo durable and sooo convenient! You've made me fall in love with it all over again! Thanks for sharing!

I used to carry a purse and a couple years ago, my husband gave me the Fjallraven Totepak 1 as a birthday gift. We were traveling at the time and it was the very best bag for our day trips. Now, I carry it every single day! I stuff it way too full but I put a small flashlight on the keyleash to help me find things that sink to the bottom. I am on the search for the perfect small purse/wallet to hold just my phone, cash, and cards so I can grab just that when I run into the store. I am not a tomboy and love to dress in a feminine style so I was surprised to find I love this bag as much as I do and I have no desire for a fancy purse anymore.
I haven't been leaving the house much lately. So I haven't been able to use this bag much. But I look forward to being able to go on weekend trips. I think this bag will come in handy. I love its more casual look/feel. It's nice to know that yours has still held up. :) Thanks for watching!

Kimmy Vera a neutral color that will pretty much go with anything so I don’t have to switch out this bag too often. 👍😊

I love a convertible bag/backpack situation! I've had my Pixie & Mood "Mini Kim" convertible backpack for the past 3 years, and it's still going strong and I like that I can dress it up or down.
Me too! I just love when a bag is multi-functional. And I haven't heard of this brand, it looks like a great bag. Do you carry a lot with you?
@@InsideKimmysMind I try to keep my bag load light. Typically, in this mini backpack, I'm carrying my planner, a paperback, eyeglasses, and a small water bottle. I see there's a 'regular' size too that probably holds a lot more!
Lovely! I wish I knew about this when I was searching for a bag/backpack last year. I didn't like anything I saw and ended up buying a Doughnut Macaroon backpack (which I DO love, so no regrets really).
I too have the Doughnut and yes, I do enjoy them. I have both a small and standard. However, I wish I had known about this one sooner since I do like multi-functional bags. They also have a second version after this one and I believe it has a leather bottom. :)

I wanted a bag like this but there were no such thing - I got a kanken mini... a few days later they released these totepacks xD
I didn't know they existed. And there is another version after this one. I knew they had made some totes that resemble the original Kanken but didn't know about this one until I went searching for convertible bags. XD Glad I did, but I still have another bag on the way that I am excited about. >.
Nice review! What do you use to adjust the strap?
I was using velcro stickers, but ended up removing them. They didn't work the way I wanted them to. :/
Is this the “Green” color...not the “Deep Forest”? I have a difficult time narrowing down the actual color in the video reviews. Ty!
Yes. I believe this is the Spruce Green color.
