I’ve had a Delton sport for almost 5 years now. It’s been very solid & functions as it should. Been very happy with it.
How many rounds have you put thru it since you bought it?
@@blueduck9409 close to 500. No issues with feed or function..
@@dannyscobee6530 i recently came into a del ton upper, and i am wondering how others that have a del ton like them. Is your upper chrome lined, or your bolt carrier group?
@@blueduck9409 no, mine is not chrome lined. Bcg is basic mil-spec m-16
@@dannyscobee6530 Alright, well thanks for the info. I hope you are able to find ammo to enjoy that rifle.
Been running a 16" midlength heavy barrel Delton upper since ~2011 / 2012 - it was for my first AR-15 when I was a broke as hell college student (pre-PSA years back when almost all ARs were either stupid expensive or questionable quality).
It's been on multiple different lowers and has had at least three different setups on it from the very basic black furniture with no additional gear to finally being OD green MOE front to back with actual attachments. The only thing that I've really done internally is change out to a nickel boron BCG about five years ago, everything else on the upper is still factory components.
It's been beaten, it's dirty as sin (could stand to clean it more), but it's still trucking after thousands and thousands of rounds of the cheapest quality garbage ammunition possible. Steel case, janky .22LR (when using the conversion BCG), etc. It's been a phenomenal firearm for the price point... honestly, just a phenomenal firearm period. It's the rifle I keep by my best because I know it'll work.
A true workhorse for the average American who doesn't want to spend $1,000 on a rifle.
Who woulda thought being a gun guy would be an expensive hobby and way of life...😁
Who needs steak when you can have top ramen with an ar10
@ ...same here...I have a friend that owns a gun shop...he called my yesterday an wanted me to sell him 5.56 ammo....
@00 00 what are you doing here? This video isn’t about muh M1A or how to bubba a Springfield, lmao.
First time I went to a sporting goods store in the single digits, honestly.
Love this version from Delton!! It was my defensive weapon during a active shooter incident in our city several years ago. It served me well in my truck for years!!!!
This $450 rifle in February 2020 is $689 locally in October 2020... when it's around.
Dogshit ain’t it
Want to buy my a diamondback db10 .308?
It's all in who you buy from. Some gun shops aren't price gouging assholes.
Welcome to buying AKs since 2017.
I picked one up today at sportsman’s warehouse in az for 480. Was 540 otd with tax and two boxes of tula.
I've had my Del-Ton Echo 316 for quite a few years now and many rounds down range. Never a single issue runs like a sewing
machine, upper and lower fit was absolutely perfect no slop pins not too tight or too loose, finish is excellent. Very happy with
it all the way around.
I have the Del-Ton Echo 316 as well, I pick it up in March 2020, it’s my 1st AR. I love it never had a issue with it, the only changes I changed was M-Lock hand guard.
Good I got one, pick it up tuesday after the stupid waiting period. I think people are just wrongfully classist when it comes to buying weapons
My sport has been running a binary trigger like a beast for the past couple years. Great rifle
I bought one of these new about 11 months ago for like 395. Thank god I got it when I did
I have two del-tons neither have let me down yet. Owned the first once since 2019 and it hasn’t let me down yet
This was my first rifle back in 2014. Absolutely love it. Never had any problems.
Big props to companies like these that provide the opportunity for more families to be able to protect themselves.
I've had my original style DT-Sport for 8 years now. Bought it after Jeff Quinn on Gunblast did his review in 2012. Great carbine, still shoots great.
The price of guns is so sad now, if you can even get them. Right after I turned 18, I got my M&P Sport II for 480 on sale at a local sporting goods place. Hopefully one day it fixes itself, but I wish I were more hopeful.
Back in 2011 i bought a standard m&p 15 and an m&p 9 with night sights for $850 out the door. The good ol days
Good news though in a few years when all the shit dies down is the used gun market will be off the hook!
What’s wrong with it?
Bought my DT sport 4 years ago as my first rifle. Still my go to AR.
Thanks guys for putting out all your videos and supporting the 2A community.
I got a Del Ton in 2017 for $400 just to see what it was like. That AR is solid, very similar to my M&P Sport. 👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸
Thanks for a great video. That's an awesome range! Thank you for your service.
Had one of these a few years. Never had an issue, definitely would recommend.
I've got a Delton Sport Mod 2...love it, literally never had a malfunction. Good enough for me
LOVE MY DELTON, HAD IT ALMOST A YEAR IT EATS STEEL CASE , I hardly run brass, love it 10/10
WOOOW GOOD TO KNOW! I just bought one today I have an ak and that thing don't care I was worried with this one. I was only gonna run brass but if you say steel is fine thats cheaper!!
Eric, I just ordered one of these, liked how it shot with the basic items you added. Enjoyed watching and your opinion means a lot since I have zero knowledge on AR's, SKS, yes. Nice hat, I own a few of their models and others. We also enjoyed the videos by 2A Edu from your range day events. That looks like a fun day.
Love deltons! Very good fit n finish. Upper and lower fits together very nicely no big gaps. Not rattley like the m&p. Have shot a couple thousand rounds through it and not even a hiccup. Good quality for a reasonable price!
I got one of these as my first ar and I've never regretted it. Even though I ran it with a bump stock for almost 2 years it's been 100% reliable. Although, I've only got around 2k rounds through it, most of those went through pretty fast lol.
I'm sure as budget as you can get in this economy lol
Edit: 2:28, $700 for a DELTON? Before all this you could get a full delton parts kit for $300-350!
Bought mine 2 years ago for 399
Bear creek arsenal is selling uppers for around $400 now...I got mine in November for 179
I bought a STAG ARMS 3 years ago for $550
Back in 2012-13 it was hard to find an AR for under $1000
Its really sad because im 20 i was planning on buying my first AR but now with the prices i feel like I should wait. I should have got one last year :(
This was my first ar 15. I then used their company to get my barreled uppers.
This was my first AR, I didn't really want to spend more than $1000.00 and I still have it and it has never done me wrong.
Made in the great state of North Carolina.
ok fed
5 minutes from where I live. I've been inside a few years ago. It pretty cool.
@@christianitis Okay commie.
@@Greivous429 And that's in the Appalachians?
@rogerwilco99 I'd buy one, If I sold my future kid's college tuition.
I Loves My Del Ton !
Never understood how your shots of the same caliber always seem to hit targets with way more gusto then other channels. Love it 😊
its that Georgian humidity
Thank you for all you’ve done
First AR i bought had it 5 years now still runs like a dream 👌
deltons are awesome, most reliable ar's out there. still waiting for a jam in mine and i feed it anything
How many rounds you have through it?
Never thought I'd see a video about this! I've had this gun since 2015
Still work good? I have one but i haven't shot it much. No problems so far for me
I have the delton Sierra 316l optics ready. Upgraded but still the save BCG, barrel and it's a great accurate rifle bought it pre covid prices for around $550. Love my rifle it was my first gun
I've had a Del-Ton for almost 5 years now, and it's been excellent. I assembled the Del-Ton lower with mostly DT parts (has a spikes buffer and cmc 2 stage trigger), and purchased a 16 inch midlength "custom" Del-Ton upper with a HB. Zero regrets. . . except for not moving out of California sooner. 🙃
Just picked up one of these can’t wait to try it out
Just bought one of these thanks for your input
My woman got one of these a couple years back it was her first ar. She loves it. And cheap enough she can actually play with it and not worry if she breaks anything.
If she breaks anything then it's time to upgrade anyway.
super nice shot on the gopher.
fun review video.
Great video Eric for the budget friendly
I bought this one for my son last year for $380, with a Primary arms 1-6x I can sometimes get sub MOA and has run flawless with every ammo I have tried.
Love you guys
Bought a delton 2 years ago. Haven’t gotten to shoot it as much as I’d like but I love it.
I run a Del-Ton Echo 316H with a 10” MLOK handguard and it’s been a great rifle for taking to the range
I’ve had my Delton Sierra for 2 years now and it’s my go to truck gun.
I changed out the magnifier and red dot for the sight mark m-spec with pop up sights from Magpul
Love my Delton. Hundreds of rounds thru with no issues.
I have a del - ton AR it's a solid system glad They came out with an affordable one changed the pistol grip changed hand guards that came with it to modular guards for my red dot and a vertical grip ,changed my stock as well great system.
Got one of these for $450 at a brick and mortar store in Dec 2019... it's an AR. It works, it's fine, and I really enjoy it! I put a Sig Romeo 5 on it with co-witness, and it works great.
Can really notice the reset click of the trigger if that is what that sound is. Almost sounds also like that dry buffer spring sound.
The DT Sport was my first AR! Fun rifle to shoot!
Why are there not more CZcams reviews on Del-Ton AR's? They have been around forever.
My friend loves his Delton (after he tightened up the loose barrel nut)
Solid, gets the job done. I went through 500 rounds without a jam, and the jam was ammo related, not gun.
I'd used some remanufactured ammo a friend of mine lent to me on a range day.
Outstanding!🇺🇸
In Feburary, I got my DT (different version)for 404$ out the door. Now , if you can find one , it would run about 600$. Mine will hold a 3" group at 100 yards with a cheap ass red, blue , green dot scope. Fun little pinker , hasn't given any issues as of yet.
my first ar was the delton echo 316,it was 600.00 in 2017,ive never had any problem at all with, first thing i did before i even shot it was threw good bolt in it,not that theres anything wrong with the original bolt,it just wasnt a full auto style bcg.
Do a meltdown! I want to know how much I can expect from my Delton haha
Sure, send in your rifle. haha!
Great video, I’m considering this one as my first rifle, found it locally for $550.
Ready to purchase my second ar15 , Definitely looking into this rifle
I did that with two PSA AR's. A 20" and a 16". I upgraded the BCG, charging handle and carry handle on both. By watching for sales I got the complete uppers and lowers without shipping. Put around $600 into each. I did all that back in 2018 so right now would be more expensive unfortunately.
Nice. I picked up a PSA kit with a Vortex Strikefire II and Andersen lower for about six fiddy monkey bones a month ago.
$415 at a gun show 2 years ago. Haven't had a problem with mine not even once. Just need it to click, go bang and knock down it's target. Carried the m16a2 in the army and not looking to deploy anytime soon so this works plenty perfect.
Built my first AR on a Delton blem stripped lower a work in progress.
A little late to the party, but I've got a delton upper 14.5 1:7 CL, on a LRB lower, and it has one one prettiest parkerizing jobs I've seen in a long time. It's accurate as hell to be honest. With a Primary arms 1x6 and some 77g ammo, I can ring steel at 600 without a problem.
I've had one of these since 2012. Almost 3k and not a hiccup yet. Note the one i have came with a regular ar15 stock. Flat top and a milspec buffer tube.
Thanks 👍
I have had the best luck with my Radical Firearms RF15 and its a very entry level rifle as well.
TY 4 showing a NC Proud rifle! Someday LuV 2C thier factory in Elizabeth City NC location ! WAtched it twice 2 make sure I didn't miss NuTT'N
Elizabethtown
I'd love for y'all to do a meltdown of a bushmaster qrc since they're everywhere around here.
I have the same model. It was my very first AR. Bought it back in 2012ish for $550. Now I knows the ins and out of the AR platform. Mine doesn't look like that anymore. The only thing that was left on my DTI Sport 15 is the lower receiver and buffer/Spring/Tube. I've replace with a new 223 wylde upper, adjustable drop in trigger, ambi safefy, ambi charging handle, oversize mag release, Magpul furnitures, and Vortex StrikeEagle 1-8x24 and Vortex Pro Cantilever mount. Soon to upgrade my buffer system with a silent captured spring setup.
I love mine,I did a little work on it, full floating shoots almost good as my coat
Love my Palmetto AR. I was able to get a complete lower then a couple weeks later complete upper. Total was about $650. Has all Magpul furniture, stainless 16in barrel, upgraded trigger, carpenter steel BCG. It’s been running like a champ and fit/finish is great. Highly recommend, getting a a Palmetto AK next 😎😝
The Palmetto AK is interesting. Its a good AK, in that as long as your magazine is a good magazine it will run like a champ.
But......in some ways it isnt an AK....if that makes sense.
The ak is okay. Just okay. The polymer furn is shit though, the color comes off with saliva and tissue paper.
I picked up a dt sport same model but in the Obama scare, it was my first ar15, it turned out to be a great shooting gun put alot of brass cased ammo through it, but for some reason mine would never feed steel cased proper! Prob the gas port or something I didn't mind at the time just bought brass cased. Great beginner ar15 my opionin!
Love my del ton
I went to a really nice Gun Shop in the great state of NC and bought the Maxim Defense PDX 50% off for 1250 dollars really nice choice came with a trigicon red dot and it runs like butter ar-15 pistol chambered in 7.62x39 It has a 5.5 inch barrel and will reach 75 yards with a 1.2 inch group of a 20 round magazine haven't ran anything that it could eat love the gun but it tends to need cleaning a lot and its very expensive for magazines and it is built really nice but it comes with a really big price but thank god i had such a good deal
Love my ruger ar556. Added things but it's a perfect home defense rifle now.
Keep an eye on the fsb taper pins, they're prone to falling out... or were. Mine fell out after about a year of owning it. This was back in 2016, fwiw.
I bought a delton 15 years ago i still have it never had a problem with it maybe 3-4 jams over its lifetime i still get it out and shoot it it was my first AR its nothing special by any means but its been a reliable basic gun for me and the most important thing i just trust the damn thing some of my guns that are built ended up so purpose built that if i had to grab one shit hit the fan gun out of my collection id pick it up because it does nothing great just does everything i want it to good enough
I saw one of these at a pawn shop and im tempted to get one
Barrel looks slightly skinnier than my old DPMS Oracle.
Kinda want one now. At least the upper.
A friend of mine bought a delton years ago he's never had a problem with it
Bought my M&P sport 2 for 509 8 months ago. Im glad I did, its 800 as of today IF its in stock
I have the DELTON ECHO L . LOVE THAT RIFLE
I've always been told that delton rifles were junk but I have watched several videos of them being used and they seem to be very good. I've had several ar rifles over the years but I'm looking to get another one since I have sold all of my other rifles. Maybe this one will be it. PSA is also on my list.
Nice man. Just picked mine up today.
I bought an LMT Defender 2000 lower for $270 at pawn shop last year. After we got the stimulus I bought 2 ATI Milsport 16", all metal construction not the polymer upper, 5.56 uppers for $300 each. I was able to snag 300 rounds of 55 grain 5.56 on Cabelas a few months ago for like $170. Bought a couple PMags and some flip up sights. Bought an Sar 9mm, full size pistol for $380 which was a helluva deal cause all the Taurus G3C/G2C were out of stock all over my town.
I have one too, was 450.00 new, now up to 750 with mlok handguard, charging handle, psa 2 stage trigger, hexmag grip, locking butt stock..... , (not including optics, Have 3, vector sparq red dot, Bushnell AR 4x, and a fixed 12x scope forgot the name) works up to my ability so far.
We just got one we traded my coleman minibike for it on facebook marketplace and its in great condition
got the delton sport lite. almost like this, but more high-speed, most of the difference is on the upper, no deflector, no forward, no dust cover, no rear sight. I got a new upper, still no forward assist, but I like it that way.
The Air Force preferred no assist for years it just came down to logistics that they took the forward assist eventually.
@@tyler37488 for the military yes but doesn't me I have to be stuck with it. I prefer the philosophy that if it doesn't go into battery best not to force it and do remedial.
Eugene stoner hated the forward assist under your same principle I was only stating that the forward assist was only put on it because the army insisted upon it.
@@tyler37488 I am aware, also aware it was originally tuned for 7.62/.308 in the AR-10. which is why the US military just adopted it as a DM rifle.
cool vid
Bought a Ruger ar 556 a couple years ago, think I payed a little over 650. Its amazing, yet scary to see that this mass produced entry level ar15 has increased in value almost 60%.
I own this gun and it does exactly what it was designed to do.
i had a inexpensive AR-15 a panther arms very good shooter put well over a couple thousand rounds through it
The sad part: Two Christmases ago Grafs had cases of that Lithuanian M855 for $209 shipped.
I am a DTI sport owner. So please do more. I have had this for about 7 or 8 years. But I do not get a chance to take it to the range much.
Greetings from Lithuania!
I've had mine for a little over a year and it's the best thing I ever bought.
I just want to see the follow up videos for this rifle.
Budget friendly and American made! 👍🏻🇺🇸
Awesome
Unsettling environment? Cool understatement of the century.
Yes the meltdown videos are great 👍
