Punta Mita is ~45 mins from the Puerto Vallarta airport. The Four Seasons in Punta Mita has some of the best service we've ever seen in a hotel. This luxury resort is one that will impress anyone! It's beautiful coastline, amazing beaches, and sea turtles make for a wonderful vacation.

Been going to 4SPM for about 18 years. Gates owns the place. (Or now maybe wifey does). Was there 6 weeks ago in fact. Getting close to pulling the trigger on a residence.
It’s nice but the resort is starting to show it’s age. Needs a renovation. Getting a bit long in the tooth compared to equivalent Rosewood Propeties, etc. The lazy River feels a bit like a Vegas hotel attraction. And FYI: the ocean is NOT clear. Nothing like Fiji, Bora Bora, or even Hawaii. If you are into diving or snorkeling it’s not your place. You aren’t going to be surrounded by a rainbow of colored tropical fish. (However the seafood that is caught everyday from the local area is epic).
My favorite thing about the property is proximity to 2-3 really run breaks. in August and September they can get a good south swell. Gotta time it tho. Also same latitude as Hawaii without the travel time from West Coast. High end accommodations and service without wasting a entire day traveling. You can be on the beach from SoCal by 4pm.

DL VOX, The Four Season is fully renovating the whole resort since 2019 that includes rooms, suites and public areas and of course their new addition of their mexican restaurant Catrina
I agree about the beaches. However if you drive a couple hours south there are some amazing cristal clear beaches that you can only access by water.
