  • Dizi Does Downhill Productions present a video how to remove and install a new TranzX dropper lever on Dex’s Polygon Siskiu D24X.
The old lever was faulty so we:
    - made a claim under Bikesonline warranty service
    - removed the old lever after we cut the dropper cable housing at the lever end
    - removed the old dropper cable
    - installed the new lever
    - tested the dropper
Bikesonline were very supportive and helped us out very promptly.
    Thanks for watching!

Dex is a very keen helper and Milz is great at ad-lib intros!

I had exactly the same problem on my new T7 and after watching your great detailed video I am glad I am not alone. Clearly a build fault BIKES ONLINE. It would make sense to just upgrade the lever to a tranzX from the manufacturing side. I spent 2 hours trying to get that cable out of the lever. I did in the end, but the stock lever isn't great. They have at least offered to get a new one. Cheers.

Hey Brett, thanks for checking out the video. Droppers can be temperamental at the best of times and this one is not the best designed. Couple that with the small bike frame and the tighter routing angles and it’s a fiddle. And the stock lever could definitely be improved. But overall it’s a great bike for the money. I hope you enjoy!

having same issue with my brand new(just arrived yesterday) Polygon T7 - swapping with a Wolftooth lever and cable, but makes me mad that a $1700 bike comes with a too short cable for the dropper from the factory.

They really get so much right with their bikes for the price point, but we’re not a big fan of the dropper lever. Enjoy your new bike - the T7 looks awesome for the money!

Same issue here for a T7, a bike shop replaced the cable for me

Received my D24X today and the dropper cable pulled out of the lever, the barrel is missing, and the end of the cable is all frayed up. The cable is so short I can't even cut it back to non-frayed cable to try and fish it through...need a whole new line and the little barrel in the lever. Ugh....

Thanks for checking out the video Ken. It’s definitely a weak spot / QA issue but overall the bike is great. I hope it wasn’t too much of a pain to sort out.

Does this lever come with cable

Hi Michalski. We received the lever from BikesOnLine under a warranty claim free of charge. They didn’t supply the cable. They suggested I buy one from a bike shop and share the invoice with them for reimbursement. Hope that helps.
