- I breakdown the IBR system on any modern Sea Doo watercraft. If you are upgrading from an old ski, first timer, or just curious how new Sea Doo's work then check out this video, leave your comments below and SUBSRIBE!

This is an OUTSTANDING tutorial video young man, job well done! Thanks for taking the time to share this with us!
@deegold6209 that's great to hear! I really enjoy trying to bring good content to people. Thanks for the feedback & have fun out there :) Be sure to Subscribe!
I think its less common knowledge that while in reverse if you engage the throttle you'll reverse quicker. I did not know this at first. Great video
Also if you going forward and engage the throttle you’ll go forward quicker.
Thank you for this no-nonsense training video!
Very welcome, have fun out there! I'd appreciate if you would Subscribe! I will in search of my new Sea Doo soon so there will be plenty of videos on that among others coming soon.
Great explanation video of IBR
Awesome video thank you
Very welcome. Have fun out there this season. I'm a little bummed I won't be out on mine this year but looking forward to my next ski for next season. Happy 4th and be sure to Subscribe! **SK**
Nice easy explanation thanks
Great video! Thanks!
Very helpful, thank you :)
Love your videos. What type of mount is that on the front? Is it a suction cup or did you permanently mount it? I want to get a GoPro next season and I’m curious about different mounts. Thank you for any info you can give me and keep the videos coming!
Thanks man
Do you keep holding the throttle down during braking ? Or we release the throttle and only hold down the brake/R trigger ? Thank bro
You can do both but holding the throttle seems to make it brake a little bit harder.
If you’re going top speed do you still hold throtttle while pulling in IBR to avoid that forward throw ?
You can hold the throttle if you want but once you touch the brake the throttle is disengaged electronically. What I say is for maximum braking keep holding the throttle so thrust is at its absolute when it hits the bucket. If you want less (by a small %) kick when braking release the throttle prior to pulling the brake. It stops hard but planted. It doesn't endo and stand the tail up on you kind of deal at speed. The bow drops a couple inches max. At most you will press into the handle bars. And of course faster you are going harder the braking is. And you don't have to come to a stop either..you can tap the brake and then gun it, which I do a lot to turn when I don't want to 180 or do a wide bank turn at speed.**SK**
So you have to be throttling forward to get the brake to work and plum of water?
Yes, otherwise holding it will put you in reverse. And the faster you go the bigger the plume will be.
The bucket on my IVR seems to be stuck in the fold down position. How do I defeat this?
Thanks man you would have to come to PA next year and record out here in Lake Wallenpaupak. Not sure if you been there or not but is pretty easy to get to right off I-84. If you do let me know so that we can hang out, blessing to you and your family.
Good video !! Question, with the IBR, I understand it works in a similar manner to a reverse thruster on a jet engine (in a way), so does this mean you will brake faster with IBR if you squeeze the left trigger whilst the right is still squeezed? I.e. the right generating forward thrust, and the left helping to guide that thrust in the opposite direction?
Thanks! Holding the throttle constantly and grabbing the brake will ensure the most absolute thrust is passing through once the bucket engages and thus gives you the must stopping force. But the throttle cuts off when the brake is engaged. So if the desired effect is to nose dive and stop as hard as possible then braking with the throttle pressed is the way to go.. if ensuring you stop quickest then letting off throttle and braking is best because the hull will naturally create friction and the brake will take the rest of the momentum. Note that the OTAS system will usually kick on when you slow down like that quick and then cut the handlebars one way or another. Even without touching the throttle I gives you like 4 sec of power at like 5 to 7 mph speed..enough that if someone forgot you need throttle to turn and didn't press it, but stopped quick and realize you need to avoid something slightly it will give you more than and idle speed to slightly avoid something. It feels weird and cuts out quick but once you mess with it a few times it's a great safety feature and great when your lazy and just want to turn around after a hard brake to talk to someone and already have your throttle hand just hanging down by your side, or don't want bother snapping the throttle again. I will try and do a video on that come spring, idk why I haven't before actually. Appreciate the feedback and questions. Hope you Subscribe!**SK**
@@SKLIFEstyle 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Tell the folks what it stands for!
Fair point. I may try and create a better video this summer, I will be sure to break that down too 👍.**SK**
Idk if your still replying but what does eco and sport do
Eco makes the ski more time and accelerates slowly with a lower top speed to save on fuel. Sport does the opposite. Makes the ski acceleration even faster and makes the throttle more responsive. Allows you top speed and all the engines power at real cost to fuel economy of course.**SK**
Thank you
Buenas en la pantalla me a saltado ajuste la posición neutra como lo haría
I have IBR ISSUES, you could probably help
Sorry to hear that, what seems to be the problem. I will try to help as much as I can.
Had no clue you could gas it in reverse
The bucket on my IVR seems to be stuck in the fold down position. How do I defeat this?
I never had that happen so my trouble shoot knowledge is very limited sorry.
