  • In this video, we're putting the Skoda Kushaq up against the Volkswagen Taigun. These two mid-size SUVs share the same platform and engines, but there's a fair bit that is different between them. For starters, the styling is radically different and so is the layout of the dash. Meanwhile, equipment levels are nearly on par and so are prices. Which of these two SUVs should you be looking at? Watch the full video to find out!

    My question is why don’t you (auto journaling channels) mention the issues present in these new cars? The Kushaq has an EPC issue resulting in breakdowns on road, which might probably lead to a recall with users facing it even after a replaced pump.

    The GT Manual 148bhp is very appealing, but the lack of features on it is very shocking. Basically, they are telling us, if you want Manual 148bhp, go for Skoda, and pick VW for Automatic. The sales still remain in the group. Would have loved to have a fully loaded GT Manual in Taigun, they can remove the useless features like the sunroof and virtual cockpit. But 148bhp requires 6 airbags. VG have been silly in their offering of variants

    I've had a test ride of both taigun topline 1.0 n kushaq 1.5 style MT. Outside looks of kushaq are killer no doubt. But as soon as u enter the cabin, the interior feels cheap and nowhere close to being called PREMIUM. Taigun interior looks n feels premium, the leather seats are wayy nicer than those of kushaq. The driving dynamics are surprisingly different. The taigun felt much tighter and composed and had much better handling. Kushaq dint feel like a skoda to be honest. Sorry to say that but that's the bitter truth. If only taigun offered a topline 1.0 comparable variant in GT+ MANUAL.... now I've to choose where to compromise - features or engine or spend extra on DSG when I'm a fan of manual gearbox 🙄

    Very well done comparison and as you rightly pointed with prices being so close, the swing to one or another is a matter of personal choice. For me VW pulls my heart strings more than Skoda and another factor is the non-ventilated seats in my opinion are better than ventilated ones on Skoda as their firmness is just right. Ventilated seats in general are little harder, to maintain the integrity of those air channels in longer run. So in my opinion that too should be a factor while deciding which way one wants to go.

If you want to go more off roads, more mountains, go for compass, though I'd suggest you to wait for some time and go for hyundai tuscon(though it's still better than compass). If you're mainly a city and highway driver with less ofroading, go for Octavia anyday. That car is great

    - Side and curtain airbags

    - Matte plastic for B and C-pillars instead of better-looking gloss plastic

    When is the Monte carlo edition gonna launch?

  • @gouthamkondapavuluru1959

    I booked skoda Kushaq 1.5 liter AT, 6 airbags from raja skoda in Bengaluru and the delivery was promised in December. Once the loan
    amount is transferred to them now they say that they will deliver it in January/February as currently they don't have 1.5 liter engine and can
    give me 1.0 liter engine. I am wondering how the overall post buying experience will be based on this experience while buying itself

    Would have appreciated Taigun without or minimum Chromes .
    Personally liked the front of the Kushaq & Rear of Taigun.
    To stay in competition with established Creata & Seltos they will have to offer over Safety few Extra feel good feature in the Base Plus (Kushaq Active Plus & Comfortline Plus) Variant. Like Height Adjustable Driver Seat, Rear - Washer-Wiper, Defogger, Reverse Parking Camera & Alloy Wheels at an incremental price ₹70-80K maximum.
    Maybe customers can buy Alloys from Showroom or After-Sales market.

    • @blondedsky
      @blondedsky Před 2 lety

      they are giving some kit like esp , brake disc wiping , differential lock , roll over mitigation , brake assist which are all safety features which you only get in sx or htx model of creta and seltos and a turbo engine in base model which isn’t there in both koreans lower models

    • @rajoosolanky780
      @rajoosolanky780 Před 2 lety

      @@blondedsky You are absolutely right. But to stay ahead of completion you have to offer same + extra as Wow factor in in your Base+Plus variant. That's little more than Base at extra cost to neutralize the competition variant offers.

    I have taken test drive of both vehicles in 1.0 AT model. I felt engine of Taigun is better tuned and offers a slightly better pick up. Whereas Kushaq has better suspension , I felt less bumps in Kushaq compared to Taigun..
    If anyone experienced the same please let me know in replies .. Thanks 🙏🏻
    And one more thing both cars offers is Tire pressure warning system and not monitoring system.. You will be notified if pressure in tires go below certain level, but it will not show actual pressure in tires. Dear owners please correct me if it’s not the case
