This is an excellent essay, man. And it really added additional perspective to my experience at the time with hip hop; I was in high school when kid n play made it big.
I like the Knicks in the series. Times when Embiid gets the smaller match up he won't take the easy bucket and settle for a face up jumper instead. Sixers playoff lineup is just replacing Melton for Lowry which only has about 100 minutes together. Granted the Knicks playoff lineup only has 131 minutes together but that physicality shows with bigger size at the wings and aggressive rebounding. Something that the Sixers role players can't seem to match.
Embiid comes out of game 3 limping, I'm calling it. He's going to come out of the opening tip with a ton of energy after the day off. He's going to have the home crowd cheering him. And because he's going to be so hyped up and thirsty for revenge, that's when he does something like leave his feet for a dunk or a block and comes down on the bad knee again.

Jalen will figure out how to score before Philly figure out how to beat the Knicks. If Embid is at full health they more than likely win both the opening games. Hes great even on one leg. Mazey is given everything he has but Philly bench getn killed by Knicks role players. Knicks in 6.

Embiid gets more excuses than any other star. You know who else is known for having a bad minutes without their star? Denver. Difference is jokic will play more minutes in the playoffs and not be exhausted doing it so he dominates more in them.

As a sixers fan. Simmons did nothing wrong! Nah, but the fact that we put it all on him was a macrocosm of our entire culture. And it starts with embiid. The process was already over but now it feels like its grave is being danced on by the final member whos still standing. Maybe thats dramatic but my Lord do i hate this team
Nothing compared to what Reggie Miller did to us in 1995... not nearly as bad on Philly as that was to the Knicks 0:40
