Disco Elysium is a conversation heavy game. If you want a quick finish to the game, then my walkthrough is not right for you because I talked to every NPC and did all the side tasks possible.

@@Naeuio Yes and sort of. Probably more like a series than a movies just because you're gonna have to take breaks and watch it over several sittings. Unless you plan for sure to buy and play the game yourself, then I'd recommend this walk through.
I'm suffering from depression after a breakup. My experience always reminds me of the quote from Disco Elysium, "Real darkness has love for a face, the first death is in the heart." This quote has a lot of different explainations from different people. And now i have my onw understanding about it.
Depression makes me feel numb, even when I'm listening to the music I love. Suddenly, I want to find Disco Elysium's videos to listen to as BGM for my life. I finally find peace when I'm walking on the street, learning on my own at my silent home, or do nothing just letting the depression pass through my body and mind. Everyone goes through tough times. I use painkillers to stop the physical pain from depression somatization. This video is the painkillers to relieve my mental pain from depression.

The toughest time has passed, and I can feel happiness and hope for the future slowly coming back into my life. I think I’ve reached the end of the dark tunnel. My mentality was knocked to the ground, but now it’s standing up again. (POWER!!!!)

It was very interesting reading your perspective on depression, and I appreciate you sharing it. Having clinical depression has slanted my ability to recognize it at this point, rather I recognize the small moments of happiness and energy when they break through.

I've always been a pretty resilient person, having faced many setbacks without falling into depression. My mental state has been relatively stable overall. So, when depression hit, I could keenly sense the change. The uncontrolled descent into depression, in stark contrast to my previous life and mental state, made the experience even more painful, disappointing, and desperate. Those were truly tough days. I could still feel joy, but it was like a set of scales where my friends and I were constantly placing weights on the happy side, but the depression was so heavy that it tipped the balance completely. Only when my depression gradually lessened with time and self-healing did the weight on that side decrease, and I began to feel the joy and happiness more clearly.
Since mine was situational depression, the path to recovery seemed clearer. However, as a first-time experience, it was hard to see the future amidst the pain. In talking with friends who have clinical depression, I realized that my experiences and theirs don't quite align. They could offer insights and support as "veterans," but it seemed there was less I could do for them.
Nonetheless, there are some things that my therapist and friends told me that might be helpful, such as using exercise to get endorphins and balance hormones, writing down 2-3 things each day that make you feel happy and fulfilled, keeping in touch with trusted friends, acknowledging that "depression is just a feeling," accepting and embracing it, and then telling yourself "this won't last forever." And one thing I personally find very important: don't give up.
I hope these insights might be helpful to you, and I wish you a swift journey out of this difficult period.

Man this playthrough makes me ridiculously happy I sat through this during the entire time I had kovid. This game the dialog and writing and voice acting for sure is my comfort food. Whenever I need something to put in the background or help me to fall asleep this game and even this play true comes in clutch thank you so much for making it

I was searching to watch it again and got really scared for these past days.
I’m playing it. I’m French, and I’m playing with the French translation and the English voice. It’s funny to hear the actors pronounce words in my language but with a strong English accent. The atmosphere of this game is reminiscent of French overseas islands such as Martinique or Guadeloupe.

the devs have supported piracy of the game, as they won’t be making anything from it either way due to a very… complicated (to say the least) situation with the company ending in them being fired. no need to feel obligated to support the creators by buying the game, just pirate it if you want i guess!
For me the most beautiful moments in the game are very small and hard to get. There are so many little moments like that in the game depends on which way you build Harry. Some moments were too personal for me, like this one:
SPOILERS AHEAD.
For example my moment was on the island at the end, if you dont sleep in the bunker and go to the coast behind it at the first place, next to the big chain, that goes into the sea from some other destroyed bunker literally on the edge of that island. If you have very high Inland Empire, Shivers, Volition and Perception, you found the pants called Pour L'Homme Labourer Jeans and Apricot Chewing Gum Wrapper, interacted with it, got and internalized thought Apricot Chewing Gum Scented One, you have that thought dialogue:
INLAND EMPIRE: - A strange feeling... looking at the water. Maybe you should wander off into the sea? Leave it all and walk in...
ELECTROCHEMISTRY: - With a bottle in your hand. - "A bottle in my hand?" - Always.
"Why?"
INLAND EMPIRE: - Perhaps there's someone there? Under the water. Waiting for you.
SHIVERS: - In front of the video rental on the corner. At the crossing...
PERSEPTION: - Smelling of Tutti Frutti and betrayal.
PAIN THRESHOLD: - Baby, you know it's going to hurt.
"But it's cold..."
INLAND EMPIRE: - Yes -- cold and still. But love is warm, like inside of her mouth. - "No-no-no-no" - Yes, yes, yes, yes.
VOLITION: - No-no, we're not starting with that. Not now. Not this time. This thought is over.

INLAND EMPIRE: - In the snowing mirrors of the bay you see Martinaise, reflected. Tall edifices of ruins reach into the water, like shimmering towers. And the shacks too. Pine trees and moto lorries, upside down... Islets and posts like stepping stones lead into the water in front of you. Go. Step in... it's been too long.

The entire vide, the La Revacholiere ost, the knowledge, that its almost the end. its just... oof.

I failed 1 task and man, my character got depressed right away and quit being cop, Gameover already, I didnt even found my gun and badge
I kept trying to fight measure head and died of a heart attack lol
after playing this game for like a few hours i cant type a normal couple sentences it always hits the point where im essentially writing an essay with a minimum word count for school

Just remembering this game, the Novely Dicemaker was such an enchanting NPC. Her little safe space kept me comfy, that with her theme song. Cherry on top! I wish she had more dialogue.

Imagine the amount of time for uploading... every 10 minutes of a video is usually 20 minutes of upload. I spent two-three hours to upload an hour long video
Is it just for me, or the quality is maxed at 360p ? Is it due to the size of the video, or is it the recording ? If it's the size of the video, it might be good to split it up in chunks and upload with a higher quality, I think you'll get more views this way.
I recorded the game at 1080p. CZcams probably reduced the quality. As for uploading the game in chunks, I think it's too late for that because the game released some time ago and I wanted to make a video covering everything of the game. Thank you for notifying me and sorry for the quality. I'll keep this in mind when I upload a long video.

You need to wear your FALN suit (and have a high number of points in.... I think electrochemistry) to not black out and talk to the city and instead do an epic hyper dance. It seems no one has recorded themselves doing it. Even the programming lady and the other girl stop what they are doing to admire the sheer amazing movements (in reality it's a very fast basketball drill, being a high school gym teacher and all).
Is this game basically an interactive book? Cause no matter the timestamp I skip to there's just wall of text to read

frankly, id say just pirate it. the devs of the game got fucked over by the company and i believe they have been encouraging piracy of the game, since they won’t be making money either way. plus, piracy is free :)
