I love the way Ross shrugs after his harmonica solo. He's so unimpressed.
😂 very french.
Moi aussi !
@PomplamooseMusic can you sing Ca plane pour moi? Would be really awesome.
Quel solo !
Pleaaaseee more french songs, for the sake of the human civilization. This is gold!
I agree
I agree totally (sorry I am French)😄
@@francislapre7802 don't be sorry :) American rock bands and others, performed around the world, to those who don't speak English. I don't speak French, but I like it. Merry Christmas and a happy new year
Canadian here. On behalf of my countrymen, we agree.
Yes I totally agree...I love french music...specially edith piaf
"fluctuat nec mergitur" is the motto of the city of Paris, where lived G.Brassens
Yup! It means something along the lines of "to float and not to sink".
Very appropriate for a boat.
@@elzorah1356 Certainement!
@@elzorah1356 I think I saw somewhere that she grew up in, or at least spent a very large part of her adolescence and adult life in France. So, yeah. I love French and wish I was half as fluent! (I'll get there someday, I'm just easily distracted... 😅)
Everything this band does is at least 98 on a scale 0-100, and most of it is at least 110. Some of their stuff breaks the scale entirely.
FACTSSSS
Where did you get your scale, and can I have one?
@@Pomplamoose You don't need a scale, you have already broken all the scales! You are the scale to measure to! Bravo, love you guys to pieces!
what is the experssion in english ? Master piece of art ?
eckthptt yuck.
I'm a father who travel 550km to go and 550km back to see my kids each two weeks and one thing that made it possible is to listen c'est music along the way thinking about the boneur français et les amis.
I'ill try to save it to listen dan mon voiture on my trips to see mes enfants.
Au revoir et merci.
Merci pour ces interprétations de musiques françaises! You give them a second international life :)
je dirais plutôt une première vie inter.
Love the way she drop Brassens name at the beginning, like he was a rapper :P
Love the song, it always brighten my day to ear a new one from them
Hahaha. That is exactly what I'm doing. Georges Brassens in the HOUSE.
He was! 😀
He had more street cred than most actual rapper
@@frankantoniomartin I *totally* second the idea of "Mon amie la rose" !!!
Georges BRASSENS was born just 100 years ago today! la FRANCE et les Francais adorent toujours ses chansons !!! longue vie à votre groupe si sympathique !
I’m 58 and Belgian. This song in particular brings so much memories it brought many tears to my eyes, in memory of my father who passed away in 1978 and his fellowship « l’ordre du verre luisant » to which this was the anthem. This is such an even more beautiful tribute that it seems you lived in Belgium for a while. Thank you so much for this oh so beautiful emotions.
Her little smile 🥺
WAW !! 👍👍👍👍👍
The joy in her face while she sings french songs. Its infectious.
National french hymn of friendship, for sure.
J'adore !!!
What you’re doing to old french music, don’t you dare stop doing it
she's got the perfect voice for it.
Hahahaha - thank you.
Perfect accent too !
@@bladerunner6282 Exactly right!
@@Pomplamoose Can´t you please please please make a European tour, once we have got rid of the Corona-sh*t?
My two favorite kinds of Pomplamoose videos...When it’s just Jack and Nataly performing together layering instruments and vocals and ones like this, when Nataly sings in French with fun and quirky arrangements played by amazing musicians .
Yeah!!
Dude, SAME.
You girls and guys are just the cat's pajamas! I'm 77 and have found that your group (along with a very few others) are musicians in the finest sense of the word. Your arrangements of classic French songs are inspiring, joyous, and uplifting.
I wonder if you've ever considered doing an arrangement of this song: "Cette Chanson est pour Vous Madame"? Whether yes or no, I'm so delighted to have found you all on CZcams.
I've just stumbled across this group of very talented people who clearly love what they do. True artists. A pleasure to watch and listen too. Thank you Pomplamoose.
Ross didn’t need to go that hard but he did for us
I heard this in my music class fell in love with this song and i just love it
It would be wrong of me to say that I like you and your music. That would not be the truth.
I absolutely love you guys. Please, just keep doing your thing.
I just LOVE YHIS GROUP AND SINGER!!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!
Merci.
Love her voice love her cuteness love the band.
This makes me want to potter around in my kitchen cooking something deliciously french while sipping a dry red wine 🍷
I'm so glad I found this group.. whenever i feel sad, i will just listen them and it cheer me up.
I LOVE how she sings with her hands!
... :-)... wow. It is so beautiful to see real musicians!
I'm not even French🇿🇦 BUT she makes me want to be French, gorgeous and smooth sound, BRILLIANT 👏
I was working dans la jardin with my headphones on listening to this song. When the buzzing harmonica started I thought there was a giant bug behind me and I was looking all around for it before realising it was part of the music!! Wonderful song. Love it!
Awesome! Awesome! Awesome! One of my favorite songs!
Kiss from France, greetings!!!
Nataly singing in French always sounds amazing!
This breathed life back into my husk of a self... Not just this song, but all of you... Thank you sincerely for existing in the way you've chosen to exist... I couldn't express in a million years how much I needed this... It's like the first time hearing Django, after whom I named my son, or the first time I heard Edith Piaf... And as a musician known for grinding out 170 takes for a perfect recording, I understand the harmonica player's sentiment to a staggering degree... But that's why he's so amazing... You're all fantastic and I wish the best life has to offer for each of you...
...
Amazing as always! No matter if we don't understand French, it's still so lovely in the ears! Such inspiration!
You know Joe Dassin's music is waiting too... Love you guys!! 💜💛
We know you already did one (Champs Elysées) but it's not enough, more, more!
Please do "Salut Les Amoureux". Thank you.
Do "Et l'amou s'en va", and "La fleur aux dents", two little jewels he sang, very "of their time", but still worth a listen.
j`adore Georges Brassens! Salutation de Bahia, Brèsil!
"fluctuat nec mergitur" is the Paris motto ! thanks a lot ! Georges forever !!!
this one causes goose pimples. Is the spirit of Georges with you ?
it's well known it's not easy to produce a correct reprise du grand Georges. He did most of his tunes near the perfection. All of your reprises are carried out with high level of respect and with love.
The problem is now you have no choice. You have to continue. Will be great if the next one is Chanson à l'Aubergnat. Greeting from France.
Thank you very much.
It's great to celebrate the centenary of Georges Brassens' birth (22 October 1921).
A great pleasure
Beyond the fact your French is perfect, this interpretation is incredible. Would have been approved by Georges himself!
Tout simplement magnifique ! ...
My favorite song when I was a little girl in France in the 60s. Merci beaucoup
Thank you from France, very very nice😊😊
Adoro vocês! Adoro a França e os Franceses! 😘
Awesome cover of one of the most beloved French songs from one of the most beloved singers.
Holy God, what a masterpiece!!!
Im amazed how you guys make so much music. with many Different Musicians, Languages and Styles. Must Have a Great Team Going On. 🙂
Wunderbar!
Superbe hommage à Georges Brassens ! Merci infiniment. :-)
I'm in love with the bass player!!
Bravo pour toutes ces reprises ! Vos chansons en français sont mes préférées. Un grand merci depuis le Mexique.
I love your version of this awesome song by Georges Brassens...I'm teaching it to my French students! We sing along with you every class. :-) Merci!
Such an amazing rendition. Spurs me on to learn French and appreciate it in its entirety 🙌
@@paulfaulkner6299 "a little" -> "un petit peu"
Not the easiest song to understand fully though, but a nice training for rythm in French speech ! Get to it !
Beautiful!!!!!,from Slovakia,,❤️💚💗
I LOVE YOU WITH ALL MY HEART!!!!! FRENCH SONGS MAKE MY HEART HAPPY!
Un grand merci pour ces interprétations sublimes ! Cheers from Bangladesh.
Always love the music all you talented guys produce. Love Jack’s contagious energy and Nataly’s effortless singing. And how sensible and responsible you folks are (wearing face covers). 💕
The harmonica was so good
You are so good at these french songs. Just love them (p.s. not a French person just a francophile)
Your interpretations of old French songs are always a delight, we thank you! : )
been following this channel for years when I was a teenager and could barely write a full sentence in English, I feel like I've grown with you, thank you for your wonderful music ♡
Congratulation for the rehabilitation of the musicians who went all the way from bank robbery to perfectly playing G. Brassens's music.
An album of you french covers please. Delightful 🤗
Merci encore. Avec toute ma sympathie.
Risqué de reprendre Brassens. Vous réussissez avec brio. Bravo. Vous êtes géniaux.
It was never clear to me, where does Nataly get this perfect french accent?
she studied in Belgium and France when she was young ;)
she lived there for something like 8 years. It's funny though, her accent is perfect when singing, but when she speaks you can tell she's american, even a few words like "c'est très vite"
@ Mick Jagger talked like a London Chappy and sung like an Arkansas pappy.
I also do not have any clue, she speaks the best French possible on earth!
None of these answers is accurate. : She was my fiancée, it's all 😋 🇨🇵🇨🇵🇨🇵
I LOVE how we're getting more french tunes :) Her accent is perfection
... I like it! This time as American Medeline Peyroux! You can do everything.
It’s so weird! 👍
That’s a BIG harmonica 🫠
I'm French and I remember learning this song in primary school, about 20 years ago, this cover is waaaaaay better than what my classmates and I would do, haha :)
Would you consider doing a cover of La valse à mille temps by Jacques Brel ? (I know it's a hard one but I'm sure Nataly could manage it)
I was having a bad day until this video. Thank you.
The best cover of this sublime song 😍
It 's so in the spirit of "Brassens playin' jazz" ! Wonderfull as usual !
I love the background vocals. I’d listen to a whole song of background ahhhs
