  • I spent the past weekend with a buddy, a roadmap, and a truck bed camping setup. We did dispersed camping, also known as primitive camping. You are allowed to camp for free in national forests as long as you follow a few simple rules. Some of the best spots we visited in Michigan’s upper peninsula were tahquamenon falls and pictured rocks. Hiawatha National forest was an awesome home each night.

    I love the UP. It's like heaven to me. But the winters would be a drag.

      Yeah you would really have to be in love with the cold to live up there.

    Come hang out around Escanaba/Mqt/Iron Mtn sometime this summer, mah duder. We have some pinball machines scattered around places that book chill music, know the cool spots to boondock and always have the hook up on the good bud. Open Jams in Escanaba twice a month at the Yooper Pinball Collective, too. Dig the channel, subbed.

    That was awesome thanks for sharing. I am planning on doing this soon with my dogs. I want to travel from Southwest Michigan to the UP and back #TheRoadLessTraveled

    Damm man I dig the vid. Can’t beat the UP. We are heading up in late April for a Jeep event and heading to drummed. Any tips on some spots in that direction?
    Nice work.

      Thanks! The UP is where it’s at. I really do want to hit Drummond as well but have only gone west or straight north after crossing the bridge. Enjoy your jeep event.

    Good video! Can I ask where the exact location is @ 8:21 and how you got there? My girlfriend and I are taking a trip in 2 weeks. Thanks!

      Nick Siskoff thanks man! First off you’ll have to park at:
      Camp 15 Rd
      Munising, MI 49884
      Hike out 4 miles, you’ll get to the main “tourist” stop on the water. There’s tourist trails to the left, and “off the beaten path” trails to the right. Go to the right about 1000 feet. You’ll have to jump over a fallen tree or two.
      GPS coordinates: 46.550694,-86.432325

    • @lukemeyer338
      @lukemeyer338  Před 3 lety +1

      Just hanging out. It’s a strong current but not deep so a lot of people spend the day walking through it with rafts and friends.

      I have bear spray. If a bear really wanted to eat me I’m sure he could.
