Thank you Fr. Chris for this teaching on Noah's Ark. I really enjoyed it!! I highly recommend that everyone read the Bible, bc it really helps you understand better when Fr. Chris &/or any priest is explaining events from the Old or New Testament. It really puts everything they say into perspective, especially with daily mass readings. Just read alittle everyday or when you can. There are times you won't be able to stop reading. For me it was very, very enlightening. I recommend before you start reading to ask the the Holy Spirit for guidance, so you can better understand what your reading. God Bless you all & peace be with you💖💖💖🙏

Dear David, I take it that you are not Catholic. That is fine, welcome... but on this site we teach the teaching of the Catholic Church. 2,000 of wisdom through the one Church established by Christ knows much better than you (or me.... I don't teach my own opinions but only that of the Church). So please understand we don't follow a fundamentalist Protestant viewpoint here. (i have never been able to watch a movie, i get side tracked & bored, but i wanted to see if i could watch one& half hours of you, Father, I could easily, Praise Thee Lord) .Watching the True Catholic Faith is the best thing in life. I left the Church when i was a teenager, thinking i knew it all...but my dearest mum never gave up on the power of prayer, Praise Thee Lord & Mother Mary, prayers have been answered before mum passed away 20 years ago. You are so right Father, that science should not be observed as in contradiction with the Bible, as all knowledge comes from God.

I've always wondered by people looked at me weirdly when I told them I believed in the Flood. I was armed with most of this information which helped me believe. Thanks for helping the others see what I see.

Every culture around the world has a myth or oral tradition of a universal flood that their ancestors survived aboard a watercraft. Hmmmm, guess they all made it up!
@@jefffinkbonner9551 no, that's not true. Cultures and civilizations that lived near bodies of water that were prone to flooding are the ones who have Incorporated floods into their stories. Other civilizations have recorded different types of disasters, such as volcanoes, earthquakes, etc.
Be careful not to believe something just because you wish it to be true.

Your explanation about allegory, metaphor, analogy, and symbolism in scriptural interpretation is excellent. It’s also why I support our doctrine of the magisterium. My muddled understanding of forgiveness was a case in point.

Roman catholicism is idolatry
The 4th Commandment calls someone other than God “Father.” What do you call the man who sired you?; The rich man called out “Father Abraham” to come and dip his finger in cool water (parable LK 16:24); St. Paul calls religious leaders “fathers” in Acts 7:2 and 22:1; St. Paul tells the Corinthians in 1Cor4:15, “I became your father”; a priest is a “spiritual father” w/many children; Jesus in Jn 8:56 said, “Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." Jesus meant that there is only one creator, or one true father, one “Abba”. As the 4th commandment testifies, Jesus did not mean to never call someone father in one sense. Jesus meant we are no longer under the covenant of the patriarchs (Abraham, Isaac, Jacob). We are now under the covenant of the one and only “Abba, the Father” Helps to know the history of Christianity.... that is how the theologians all explained it. I think they know better than you and me :) God bless.

You don't have to think science is always right, there have been enough changes in their point of view as well. The bible is often more accurate than we dare to believe.
