He forgot his cellphone in Elizabeth's car and the wanted to know if there were any messages with a dealer and if she knew what Jonah has been doing. They explained that on recap (before the LP convention in Spokane) if I'm not wrong.

I can understand like the fear they felt not knowing whatâs going. And him dealing with depression they donât want him to start trying other things to cope. However sometimes having someone like his gf who is understanding will help . They should at least let him made the decision on taking a break as well as wanting help. I am not necessarily in favor of parents doing that to an adult child but he is under their roof and has some serious problems taking care of himself. And I know a lot of people are saying delta 8 is no big deal because it's not a harder drug but it clearly messed him up and was a huge cause of concern. Sounds like this all happened the same day and they were trying to figure out what was going on. If I understand it correctly I don't see the parents' behavior as that terrible. Maybe iffy but understandable. They even put the responsibility on their own kid and didn't blame Ashley like some people seem to think they were. Amber said she was bad mouthing them based on the lies Jonah was telling and that she knows Ashley must've been reacting that way because she was hurt. Amber didn't seem to even guilt her or fault her really. Just a passing comment that she said hurtful things but she understands why she would. His parents are right to tell him if he is going to have a relationship he needs to be honest and do right by her. And they're right to have certain expectations of adult children living under their roof or in their financial care. I have to wonder if he was shooting up or string out on fentanyl if people would think they were right to check his phone to try to figure out what he was on and what he was doing. I've known too many people to die from fentanyl and other ODs and found during a welfare check because nobody has been in touch with them to know how they are. These are proactive parents.

Your child being involved in a voluntary medical situation isnât a valid excuse to go through the phone to review personal/private messages. Either parent could have picked up their own phone to call Ashley for any insight into what happened. I feel like they used the situation to be able to look through his phone for reasons to not like Ashley futther. Iâd like to know how they unlocked the phone and why they donât allow their son to have private, adult conversations about their own relationships.
